Panic Mode: Scrambling to Optimize My Land Before Splinterlands 1.75

Always Easier.png

When Splinterlands announced the official launch date for Land Phase 1.75, my initial reaction was excitement—but that quickly turned into sheer panic. I had been following the updates and knew that this phase would bring a major shift in how land resources were managed. But as I took stock of my own land setup, I realized I was far from ready.

The Reality Check

I own around 400 plots, and up until now, my strategy had revolved around Research production. Since I had been self-sustaining with Grain for a while, Research seemed like a solid choice at the time. However, the introduction of new resource requirements changed everything. Suddenly, those Research-focused plots would demand far more resources than I would be able to produce initially.

As I sifted through my land details, the situation became even clearer—and much worse. I needed to switch a staggering 266 plots to new production types to avoid a major inefficiency post-update.

The Nightmare of Bulk Adjustments

If you’ve ever tried making mass adjustments in Splinterlands land management, you know how painful it can be. While the in-game interface is good for general management, handling mass changes—especially across hundreds of plots—is an absolute time sink. Manually adjusting each plot felt like an impossible task, and the sheer number of changes I needed to make was overwhelming.

I started the process, begrudgingly clicking through what felt like an endless list. But as I slowly made progress, something clicked—I suddenly remembered that Peakmonsters had land management tools.

The Lifesaver: @Peakmonsters to the Rescue

I immediately paused what I was doing and checked @Peakmonsters. Sure enough, they had functionality that allowed me to speed up the process significantly. It wasn’t instant, but it was so much better than manually clicking through 266 plots one by one.

Once again, @Peakmonsters proved why they are my go-to for all things Splinterlands. Whether it’s managing my assets, tracking rental income, or handling land, they always provide the most efficient and user-friendly solutions. This is exactly why they also have my full support as SPS Validators—they understand the needs of the community and build tools that genuinely make life easier for players.

Lessons Learned & Looking Ahead

Now that my land is properly transitioned, I can finally breathe a little easier. But this experience reinforced a few key lessons:

  1. Always stay ahead of major updates. Waiting until the last minute to optimize land led to unnecessary stress and a lot of wasted time.
  2. Use the best tools available. The in-game interface is good, but third-party tools like Peakmonsters make complex tasks way more manageable.
  3. Adaptability is key. Splinterlands land mechanics are evolving rapidly, and being flexible with strategy is crucial to staying competitive.

With Phase 1.75 now in motion, I’m eager to see how the new economy plays out. While my last-minute scramble wasn’t ideal, I’m feeling much better about my setup moving forward. Now, I just need to make sure I don’t get caught off guard for the next big update!
