Maxing Out Early: A Milestone for My Conclave Arcana Legendary Set

It’s always satisfying to hit a major collection milestone in Splinterlands, especially when it happens early in the cycle of a new set. This week, I’m celebrating one of those moments—I’ve already completed a max-level set of every Legendary card from the newly released Conclave Arcana edition.

Well… every Legendary card except for Archmage Yabanius—but let’s be honest, nobody’s completing that one anytime soon. With its ultra-limited mint count and chase-tier status, it’s more a trophy than a goal at this stage.

Still, finishing off the rest of the Legendary roster this early in the set’s life is a pretty significant personal achievement. Historically, this kind of early completion has only happened for me when I’ve gone heavy during a Pre-Sale. That was the case again here—I went in with a solid amount of Legendary packs, which gave me a great starting base. But what surprised me this time was how affordable some of the missing pieces were on the market.

The community clearly targeted Legendary packs, and it shows. There's been a noticeable abundance of Legendary cards listed for sale, and that spike in supply has driven prices down to levels that made completing the set much more accessible than expected. While there’s always the risk of duplicating cards in future packs, I felt the time was right to pull the trigger and finish the set now—even if it means ending up with extras.

And honestly? I don’t mind having extras. When Conflicts go live and air drops begin rolling out again, I expect these cards to become valuable in a different way. Battle Wagons will likely reward depth just as much as variety, and those duplicate Legendary cards will absolutely earn their keep as part of my airdrop strategy and deployment approach.

Now, as for the rest of the rarities—that’s where the real challenge begins. Prices for Epics, Rares, and even Commons remain surprisingly high. That makes completing a fully maxed set a much slower grind, especially when I compare market costs versus the potential of pulling them naturally from more packs. So for now, I’m holding off. There's still plenty of time, and with the general sale still underway, I expect more supply—and possibly more market dips—before the dust settles.

This milestone is a strong reminder of how strategic timing, community behavior, and a bit of luck all intersect in this game. For now, I’ll enjoy the shimmer of my complete Legendary lineup… and keep my eye on those other rarities for the next collection win.
