A Milestone Achieved: My First Maxed Rebellion Soulbound Reward Card

First Max Rebellion Reward is Legendary.png

After countless battles and rewards, I’ve finally hit a major milestone in Splinterlands: my first maxed Rebellion Soulbound reward card! Interestingly, it’s a Legendary card, which was both a surprise and a mixed bag of emotions.

The Luck of the Draw

Legendary cards are notoriously difficult to max out, given the sheer luck required to pull enough duplicates. When I realized that my first maxed card was a Legendary, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment. It’s a testament to the grind and the sheer volume of chests I’ve opened. However, there’s a flip side to this luck.

The Risk of Excess

While having a maxed Legendary is exciting, it also comes with a drawback: the risk of future excess. Legendary cards are the most expensive to draw in terms of Glint, and every extra copy feels like a missed opportunity to progress other cards in my collection. The thought of repeatedly pulling duplicates of a card I can no longer use is less than thrilling. It’s a stark reminder of the resource investment required to play at this level.

What’s Next?

Though this is my first maxed card in the Rebellion Soulbound set, I’m optimistic about others following soon, especially among the Common rarity cards. Several are on the verge of being maxed, and I’m looking forward to reaching that milestone with them as well.

This progress has also prompted me to reconsider my approach to the game. Once I’ve maxed a few more cards, I may shift my focus solely to draws rather than continuing to purchase chests from the shop. This would allow me to conserve energy and avoid the grind of gathering extra resources just to keep up with the game’s demands.

Reflections on the Journey

Achieving this milestone has been a rewarding experience, even with its complexities. It’s moments like these that make the grind worthwhile and remind me why I’ve remained invested in Splinterlands for so long. While I’m not looking forward to the potential frustration of excess Legendary cards, the thrill of completing a card’s journey is enough to keep me motivated—for now.

That's great. I haven't maxed any Rebellion reward cards but I'm somewhat close on a few. Mostly the commons but also one legendary.

I've maxed all the common and rares, most of the epics and about half the legend.

Now I buy the first rack of all 3 loot chests, then load up on the first rack of GF epics and rares. No more spending Glint on energy to spin up SPS. I did unlock an RF maxed Commander Slade to rent out and see what happens!
