Nate, you're an INLEO gem! I didn't know Tarrare's history - which seems to be essentially true, and turns that man into an embodiment of Rabelais' "Gargantua" (the French author's XVIth century's fictional omniscient & ever-hungry giant).

That's a great comparison! Tarrare really does seem like a real-life Gargantua with that insane hunger. It's wild to think about how much he could eat and the bizarre stuff he consumed.
