Days Gone: Let's explore a little on our own ignoring the storyline.

DaysGone.jpg

I bet you've seen LIVE telecast of a lot of things includes gaming videos (as you're here in the hive gaming community reading a gaming related post) but I'm not sure if you experienced reading a live blog which you're going to experience now.

Unlike any other Days Gone gaming post, I'm experimenting something new today. I'll continue playing the game now from where I left it last time and I'm going to talk/write my experiences as I go continue playing. So yes, I'll have to pause the game so many times when for working on this post and there'll not be any video gameplay for that.

Screenshot_1.jpg

Do you know where I'm now? If you gave this game a try already then you should've known about it and if you didn't play this game and reading my posts only then you're not know as I didn't talk about the last mission when I reached this place. Actually I stocked the footage and screenshots of the last mission which I'm planning to show later.

Screenshot_2.jpg

Screenshot_3.jpg

So, I'm at a devastated zone which used to be a NERO camp before but now zombies are ruling this place and looking for flesh. I went there in order to find something connected to the love of my Deacon's life (I'll talk about that in a separate post).

Let's open the map and check what's around to discover, shall we?

image.pngimage.png

I see the major storyline as "I Remember" where I'm gonna need to chase down a NERO black chopper in Searching for Something and there's a Infestation Zone near that which is named Marion Forks Infestation where I fought the zombies before and that place is real awesome (I might focus on that place soon in another post).

Screenshot_6.jpg

Then There was this side storyline which is about Chasing Lion. The game started with this storyline and now it becomes an optional one (I'll work on it soon). The location of this storyline is too far from where I was but the other storyline was close to me so I might give that a look first.

image.png

And I also see both camps (Hot Springs Camp and Copelands Camp) on the map where I noticed Hot Springs Camp was close to me and the Copelands Camp was far away and I was not going towards any camp or to any main storyline now.

Screenshot_11.jpg

Then I've found this perfect place to experience something cool. That's an ambush camp which is Beer Creek Hot Springs Ambush Camp where I probably went before and didn't clear it out probably because it seemed harder with the zombies around. Now its time I give it a try.

Screenshot_4.jpg

Screenshot_5.jpg

Found this when getting out of that place. Ring a bell what this can be?

Those are bodies inside plastic packets. I think they're bodies of peoples/zombies killed by alive peoples when the apocalypse began. The NERO peoples packed them and left them there and I think they've been here for a long time.

Screenshot_6.jpg

This wolf came out of nowhere and started attacking me and man, I was shaken not once but twice when this wolf suddenly started attacking me. I killed it after losing some health to its attack.

Screenshot_7.jpg

Found a oil can so I'm filling up the bike's oil tank and man, its so frustrated about the bike burning oil so fast. I wish to discover the mountains that is a far from me but I don't get the courage to do that cause the oil gets burned so fast and I might get stuck on those mountains. But I'm thinking of giving it a chance someday without saving the game so the game starts from a good spot even if I lose the ride.

Screenshot_8.jpg

Found a tracking zone on the way so I stopped there and started looking what's there to track. These tracking zones are like special additional objectives of this game that gives you extra stories.

Screenshot_10.jpg

Screenshot_11.jpg

The first thing I've found was that ripped leg which was probably a ripped leg of a zombie and then I was looking for more things to inspect and I was ready with the rifle for any inconvenience as I was already taught this lesson to getting in trouble when tracking places like this.

Screenshot_12.jpg

Screenshot_13.jpg

I got more hints like bones and a ripped hand which took me further away and I kept tracking these things which led me to the actual place.

Screenshot_14.jpg

I finally saw some zombies (four of them actually) at the location where I was going and hiding in the tall grass, I was trying to distract the zombies first but I think I was out of stones so I did an open fire though my rifle mistakenly and the zombies noticed me and rushed towards me.

Screenshot_15.jpg

Then I had to shoot them all and man, it is scary when the zombies rushes towards you. It actually feels like I'm there in person and the zombies are actually coming to rip me apart.

Screenshot_17.jpg

Going forward, I actually found these dead bodies that looked like dead bodies of zombies which other zombies were eating.

Screenshot_18.jpg

Screenshot_16.jpg

Found two parts of that body in two places, yuck. Man, these details are so perfect in this game. I don't think there's one other zombie game out there that can be compared to this one.

Screenshot_19.jpg

When I was moving forward, I noticed two deer and one of them came down to that water shore and was drinking water. I was thinking of shooting it so get some fresh meat but I was waiting for it to finish drinking as it hurt my ethics to kill something that's drinking of eating other than zombies as they always eat something hahaha.

Screenshot_21.jpg

Well, I missed the cleat shot and the deer escaped and then I went there before that dark cave and I'm now thinking if I should go inside or not. Let's take peek, shall we?

Screenshot_23.jpg

Screenshot_24.jpg

Man, it seems like its not Deacon but me inside that cave as I'm hardly moving forward. I'm asking myself if I should move forward or return backward.

Well, let's check it out, shall we?

Screenshot_25.jpg

Oh I see its the end of the cave already and I have nothing to fear no more as I'm going out now. BTW, I noticed body parts inside there as well.

Screenshot_26.jpg

Screenshot_27.jpg

Well, I'm guessing I just saved us a lot of times just to look the other way and you can understand what I'm talking about noticing the red path in the map above. And yeah, we're at the ambush camp now. Let's clear it out leaving the bike behind as I'll try to clear it without notifying them at the first sight.

Screenshot_28.jpg

Screenshot_29.jpg

As going forward, I'm now noticing these notes written on the big stones asking to stay away from this camp if anyone wishes to intrude.

Screenshot_30.jpg

There I see someone guarding this front part and is armed. I'm going to lure him towards me now using a stone.

Screenshot_32.jpg

Screenshot_33.jpg

Oohh I got him in my gasp and I beat him to death without alerting anyone else as this camp is full of their peoples now, armed peoples.

Screenshot_34.jpg

There I see a sniper as well so I need to stay silent when I knock all of them down.

Screenshot_39.jpg

Let's take them down one by one and this man is my second target now when there's a woman walking around as well.

Opps, they are alerted now as someone noticed me and I'm going on full fight. And I just took all of them down and took the sniper rifle as well for further use. Now I need to find a bunker in this place and investigate it but I'm not finding it anywhere.

Screenshot_41.jpg

Ohhh and now I've found it after searching thoroughly. I need to climb down now to investigate this bunker and that's when the camp mission will be completed. And I've found a map inside the bunker which should be helpful in the future.

And it's all for today.

How do you like me narrating of the gameplay?
If you like it, feel free to like, comment & share. I will soon come with another post writing what happens next.

I always thought this game was totally linear. As I've never played it or watched it on streaming, I imagined it as a classic game where you move linearly through long corridors. I didn't know you could go out and explore areas haha, and from what I can see the map is pretty big.

Its more like a open world game and you can go anywhere you want to/can. I don't like games that follows linear pattern.
