Frequently Used Soulbound Reward Cards

Soulbound reward cards have been distributed in Splinterlands since February. Players upgrade their soulbound cards by combining them. The soulbound cards won by those competing in the champion league have reached the level that can compete in the silver or gold league.

Even though I'm battling in the champion league, none of my soulbound cards have reached the max level yet. Still, I use certain cards frequently in battles. I also witness that my opponents use the same cards. In this article, I will discuss the strategies established on these cards.

Only melee attack monsters can be used in the Up Close And Personal rule set. The defend and repair features become more valuable when this ruleset is valid. I usually use Ferox Defender in second place. Its slowness is a disadvantage, but the protection it provides makes it an indispensable card in the Up Close And Personal rule set.

We know that the water element has fast and powerful cards. Coastal Sentry is one of the cards added to the water element's stellar karma. Coastal Sentry gives opponents challenging moments in rulesets such as Super Sneak, Melee Mayhem, and Equal Opportunity, where tanks can be used in the back row. I have the level 8 version of the card, but even the level 4 version can be used in the Champion League. A 4+4 melee attack at once is essential because we can hunt cards with the Forcefield feature. However, Sand Worm, which has seven attack power, becomes ineffective against Forcefield cards.

I have mentioned Mastermind in my previous articles. Grants Baakira attack damage when used in the second row. Even though I have a level 1 version, I use it occasionally in battles because it is a card with an opportunity feature. At level 2, the defense power increases with a shield, and it is especially effective in games without magic cards. Also, in high mana limit games, mainly if the Odd Ones Out ruleset apply, Kulu Mastermind helps a lot to win.

Taunt-enabled cards are critical to determining the course of the game. These cards are few and quite expensive. That's why Iziar is often used in games. Another taunt card in the Life element, the Shieldbearer, costs $300. Moreover, it is not uncommon for taunt-enabled cards to also have the Void feature. Such a card exists only in the Death element. The price of the full version of this card, which is called Dark Haun, is 198 dollars. So in games with Fire & Regret or Broken Arrows rulesets, Iziar stands out as a reasonable alternative and works well.

When creating dragon teams, we can use neutral cards and cards of the selected element together with dragon cards. In games with a low mana limit where Odd Ones Out is valid, we may need more cards with one mana value because the prices of Dragon cards with one mana limit are over 2000 dollars. Kra'ar Xoc is a good alternative in this context. It contributes to the victory when we activate the scavenger feature by using it in the middle rows.

On the other hand, many cards in the Noxious Fumes ruleset are disabled due to poison. Meanwhile, Kra'ar Xoc's health count is rising. The Redemption-enabled version of this card will work even better.

Drybone Raider is effective in rulesets where tanks can shoot from the back row or ranged attack monsters can shoot from the first row. In the rulesets I mentioned, the Drybone Raider fires four times at a time. I have a level 2 version of this card; it's a card I often use, especially in games with significant mana limits. The Level 4 version can inflict 10 points of damage on the opponent in one go. With the contribution of the shatter and cripple features, this damage can even exceed 15.

I have also mentioned Venari Marksrat in my previous articles. Since it is a neutral card with a mana value of 3, those who like the Martyr strategy often use it. Martyr's power is increased when used with Resurrect cards. Fascinating results can come out in the Rebirth ruleset. Especially when Venari Marksrat triggers Jared Scar's bloodlust, it gives good results.

Conclusion

Soulbound reward cards other than the ones I mentioned above are sometimes used in the Champion League. The level of soulbound reward cards increased as the week progressed. This situation increases the importance of these cards with each new season. Especially the gold versions of soulbound reward cards will find buyers for quite a high price. When will we start buying or selling these cards? I'm curious about the answer to this question.

Thank you for reading.

The only card that I don't have here is the muskrat? I think it's one card I'd be aiming to have as soon as possible. The costal sentry is a beast, especially when you play it with Possibilius the wise.
