Vera Salacia| Splinterlands Art Contest Week 250
Hey there!
Im here again with another entry for the contest and 250 is quite a number and if my knowledge serves me (which I don’t think it does right now), there are like 54 weeks in a year meaning this contest has been running for over 5 years. That’s impressive. What else is impressive but not surprising is that we have hit the August break in the rain season before August itself. There’s been a lot of sunshine and you can see some plants enjoying sun and thriving. Before I go on and on and forget i was here to share my submission for the week
First I must say that this was so straightforward and yet so frustrating for me and I think it was because I have not been drawing a lot of portraits and the almost 7days in between the last drawing i did was enough for me to lose my momentum in process to the extent that I almost thought I had forgotten how to render. The lesson is that I need to practice more.
Here’s the model I used
The reference
And finally some process shots
I can say I am glad Indid not give up when I felt I couldn’t get it right. I Hope you liked it and Thank you for your attention.

Your fanart reminds me a lot of a Disney princess hahaha. But I must tell you that I loved her, the details and your way of doing it were very nice to the drawing. Good job!
Yes yes…. I noted that myself when I was done that she reminded me of classical Jasmine from Aladdin. Thanks for the observation and appreciation😄
Thanks for sharing! - castleberry#6859
Your level of detail-orientedness is outstanding. Every brushstroke and design feature in your work has a specific function and enhances the piece's attractiveness. It's admirable how committed you are to excellence.
Oh my dear! This is the best compliment I’ve gotten for me art in forever. Thank you so much!!!
