Evangelist | Splinterlands Art Contest Week 237
Hey there! How's your day been so far?
I hope everything's been smooth sailing for you today and that you're feeling healthy and well.
I'm back again for the weekly art contest hosted by @Splinterlands and this time around, I chose to draw Evangelist.
This character really resonated with me because she looked like a guardian angel. Plus, I was sick when I started this drawing, so angels seemed quite apt me. Painting this helped take my mind off my sickness.
It took me around 9 hours to complete this piece, but I have to say, I'm really proud of myself for pulling off a full figure like this.
On process, this is a painting where I used colour blocking and the blending is with the painting process. It was a gouache brush I downloaded from the clip Studio paint market for free a long time ago. I know some traditional artists compare gouache with watercolouring but on digital art, it renders more like oil.

And in the end, I'm really proud of how it turned out. I hope you enjoy it as well!
