Explaining How to Create and Avatar and Exemplar in Splinterlands

Today I'm going to show you how to create your Avatar and Exemplar in Splinterlands, so join me on this brief journey of learning about the game.

Splinterlands recently announced Avatars and Exemplars; you can read about this new feature in the post: AVATARS & EXEMPLARS: Your Identity, Brought to Life in Splinterlands.

In my opinion, this was a great new feature because it brings more immersion to the player in the card game, as they will become a card themselves.

Creating your Avatar and Exemplar is very simple.

Click on your name in Splinterlands next to your avatar.

You will be directed to this page where you will be able to see your Avatar and Exemplar. You will also be able to edit both on this page.

My account is still very new to the game, but little by little I will reach better leagues and expand my card collection.

There are 3 options for you to change: Avatar, Exemplar, and Badge. There's also the option for Level and Title, but I'll talk about those later.

Let's start with the Avatar. On this page, you'll choose its appearance and also its Bloodline. You have the option to click Randomize for Splinterlands to create an avatar for you, but I prefer to create my own.

You can choose 4 Bloodlines: Human, Elf, Orc, and Dwarf. I'll choose Elf, but it's possible to change the Bloodline using the Polymorph Potion.

In the Bloodline section, you choose whether your character will be male or female.

Creating your avatar is very simple, so I won't go into detail about each characteristic because Splinterlands made it very intuitive.

After a few minutes, I completed my avatar, and this is what it looks like.

You can choose between creating your Avatar first or your Bloodline. I chose the Avatar, so now I'll create the Bloodline.

This is the page where you'll create your Exemplar, and initially you have 20 points to distribute. These points increase as you level up your Avatar/Exemplar.

I was torn between choosing the Death deck or the Dragon deck, but I decided to choose the Dragon deck for my Exemplar.

I had few points available, so I could only do this with my Exemplar. Soon I'll evolve it and make it a more powerful Exemplar.

Since I hate facing cards with magic attacks, the Silence ability is a great ability for my Exemplar, and I'll transform my avatar into a card with a magic attack so my opponents share this hatred.

There's also the option to reset your points and create a completely different Exemplar if you want.

Finally, we have the option to add a Badge to your Avatar. I chose the Wild League Badge.

Now my Avatar and my Exemplar are complete, and there are 2 more options: Title and Level Up.

In the Display Title option, you choose one of the Titles you own; it's just another detail.

In the Level Up option, you will evolve your Exemplar, which means gaining more points to select more Stats and Abilities. You will also unlock more Cosmetics and the rarity of your card, as you can see in the image above.

To go from level 1 to level 2, you need to spend 1000 Glint. I don't have information about the other levels, but the Glint value probably increases as you level up.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.

For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".

Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
