Buying and Opening Chaos Legion Packs in Splinterlands

Today I'm going to open some packs in Splinterlands and increase my card collection in the game.
As I've mentioned in other posts, one of my main goals in the game right now is to build a powerful card collection to play in ranked battles, so I won't need to rent cards from the market.
My current focus is on Foundation cards, the new Reward Set cards, and the Chaos Legion edition cards. I chose these cards because they currently offer the best value for money.
Today I'm going to increase my Chaos Legion edition card collection, and to do that I have two options:
Buy cards from other players on the market.
Buy and open Chaos Legion packs.
The best option is to buy cards from other players on the market because I can choose the card I want and won't depend on luck, but I like opening packs in Splinterlands, so I'll choose the option to buy and open Chaos Legion packs.
To buy Chaos Legion packs, I have the option of buying them from Hive Engine or Splinterlands. Currently, the price is the same in both, so I decided to buy from Splinterlands because it's easier to open the packs.

In the SHOP option in the upper left corner of the Splinterlands website, you will find Card Packs, and that's where you'll buy the packs in the game.

As I write this post, the price of the Chaos Legion pack is 648 DEC, and I decided to buy 3 packs today.

In total, I will spend 1946 DEC; each pack cost approximately $0.36.

To open the packs, you need to go to the OPEN option.

On that page, you will open the packs that are available in Splinterlands.
An important detail is that there are Alchemy Potions and Legendary Potions in Splinterlands, they will help you have a better chance of getting Gold Foil and Legendary cards in the game.
Alchemy Potions increase your chances of getting Gold Foil cards.
Legendary Potions increase your chances of getting Legendary cards.
Now I'm going to open the packs and I hope I don't lose money.

My luck was terrible and I only got some of the cards I wanted, so opening the packs wasn't the best decision today, but it was fun.

I paid $1.08 for the 3 packs and the total value I got from the cards I obtained was $0.30, so I lost $0.68 opening the packs.
The packs depend on luck and sometimes you can lose money, but I like to test my luck so I'll open more packs in the future.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den and Genesis League Goals.
For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".
Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
