Clockwork Web3 Economy
Game development of Clockwork is going strong, I switched from Grok to Claude for coding and it is going much better, game is now on immutable testnet with working smart contract.
Just recently I started spending test Imx to buy Cogs, which is my game version of Credits from Splinterlands or Gems from any other game. Then players who bought Cogs are able to open Immutable Blockchain packs which contain 5 NFT cards they are able to play with, fuse duplicates into higher level stronger cards or trade them on the markets. A true Web3 experience.
I have Free to Play version of the game where players can earn Gold and open non NFT packs for 2000 Gold by doing daily and weekly quests. I will consider creating Leaderboards so even Free to Play players will be able to earn small number of blockchain packs.
Of course best part of the game is when players start communicating with Immutable Passport. In my game the entry for Play to Earn will be a one time purchase of 5 packs (10$). After 5 pack purchase players unlock ability to mint 3 packs per week with ingame Gold. 3 pack limit is good enough to give players incentive to keep playing and have a chance to open one of very strong legendary cards.
There will be 100.000 packs in total. 10k packs will be used for Leaderboard rewards. 3 weekly packs also count towards that 100k number of packs. I designed the Economy with the main idea of pack scarcity, with time packs will be gone and the last of the Core set will be printed.
Packs will cost 2$ or 2000 Cogs. Quite cheep in this day and age where the norm is 4$ or more. With entry of 10$ to start to Play to Earn Clockwork will be one of the cheapest Web3 games to start earning NFTs with. Total Pack number is this small to keep the long term value of card NFTs. If the game audience grows I will develop and release expansions with more Packs and features.
Right now Im not even considering to include tradeable game token, we all know how that goes in crypto, every graph out there died a slow or quick death.
It took a little bit more than 2 months when I started developing Clockwork. I'm amazed of what I achieved in that time with the help of AI. That is it from me for now.
