Splinterlands Battle Diary: Invisible War Tactics and a Thrilling Victory Story
Hello Splinterlands warriors.
How are you all? I hope you are all healthy and having a wonderful day. I am back with the second entry of this week in my Splinterlands Games Social Media Challenge.
Those of us who play Splinterlands regularly know that it is not just a card game; it is a real chess game of the mind. When new rules and challenges come up in every match, the neurons in our brains are activated. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, but we learn something new from every match. Today, I will share with you the experience of a battle where I had to win not with muscle power, but with perfect strategy.
Today's battle is very special to me because the tension that was working throughout the entire time is, in a word, incredible. Let's jump straight into my game world without further ado!

Battlefield Preparation: When the Rules Speak

When I looked at the screen after finding the battle, I saw that the Mana Cap was set to 33. 33 mana is a range where you can't take very expensive cards, and it's difficult to win even with very cheap cards. The real challenge here is balancing.
However, my eyes were drawn to the Ruleset.
Rules: Now You See Me...
After seeing this rule, a slight smile appeared on the corner of my lips. This means that every unit on the battlefield will have the Camouflage ability. That is, until the card in front dies, the enemy will not be able to target any card in the back.

My immediate thoughts:
This rule was a blessing in disguise for me. A plan immediately came to my mind. Since the cards behind me are safe, I will build a team that:
There will be an impenetrable wall (Tank) in front.
And a group of Supporters and Assassins in the back, who will finish off the enemy from behind.

My card selection: Blueprint for victory
I chose Death Splinter for this battle. Why? Because some cards in the Death unit can become terrible in these rules. Let's introduce my heroes today:
Summoner: THALGRIMORE
I chose Thalgrimore at the beginning. Its special ability is that it reduces the health of all the cards of the opposing team by -1. In a 33 mana match where every health point is important, my first move was to weaken the enemy at the beginning.
Ujurak Brave (Position 1 - The Shield)
The front-line fighter of my team. I took it as my main tank. It has Immunity and Silence abilities. Silence reduces the enemy's magic attacks, which makes my defence stronger. I believed that it alone could withstand most of the enemy's attacks.
Arachne Weaver (Position 2 - The Lifesaver)
This card was my trump card! It has the Corrupted Healing ability. My plan was very simple - Ujurak Brave will take the damage in front, and Arachne Weaver will heal him repeatedly from behind and keep him alive. Since there are Camouflage rules, the enemies will not be able to kill this healer of mine even if they want to.
Chaos Jailer (Position 3 - The Silent Killer)
I took it for an attack. Its Ambush and Opportunity abilities can be game changers. Having Ambush allows him to attack once before the battle starts. And with Opportunity, he finds the enemy's weakest card and pours Poison.
Fenmoor Gorgon (Position 4 - The Debuffer)
I picked this to strengthen my defence. Its Demoralise ability reduces enemy Melee or physical attacks. That is, even if enemies hit my tank, the damage will be very low.
Silverleaf Warlock (Position 5 - The Speedster)
In Splinterlands, "Speed" means advantage. Its Swiftness ability increased the speed of my entire team, so that we could attack before the enemy.

Battlefield Storyline: Round by Round Excitement

Battle link
After the match loaded, I saw that the opposing team had a mix of Dragon and Earth Splinters. I was a little scared to see their line-up at first. They also had powerful magic cards.
But the real game started before round 1 started! My Chaos Jailer used its Ambush ability to strike the enemy first in the blink of an eye. This sudden attack broke the enemy's armour and threw their plans into disarray. Being ahead at the beginning gave me mental strength.

This was the most critical time. The opposing team's dragons and other attackers were raining down attacks on the Ujurak Brave in front of me. At one point, it felt like my tank wouldn't hold up. My chest was pounding!
But at that moment, my strategy worked like magic. Arachne Weaver heeled Ujurak from behind. He was getting hit, his health was decreasing, and then gettinghealedd again. It was a satisfying sight to watch! Despite their best efforts, the enemies couldn't break my defences, because they couldn't even touch the healer behind me.

By round 4, I realised that I was now in complete control of the game. My Chaos Jailer's poisonous attacks and Opportunity ability were killing off the weak units behind the enemy one by one.
By round 5, the main attackers of the opposing team were all gone. Only 1-2 people were left on their field, who were no match for my full health team. At that moment, I started to feel the joy of victory. I thought, "Yes, my plan worked!"

There were no more surprises in the last round. My team easily defeated the opponent's last card. When VICTORY appeared on the screen in big green, I breathed a sigh of relief.

Results and my feelings

With this amazing victory, I strengthened my position in the Bronze I League and earned 186 Glint tokens and some position points as a reward.
But honestly, the greater reward is the joy of winning with your own intelligence. This battle reminded me again how deadly the healing and sniping combination can be, using the back row protection in the "Now You See Me..." ruleset.

My little advice:
For those of you who face this ruleset, try to keep a high-health tank in front and definitely a good healer and Opportunity card in the back. Chaos Jailer and Arachne Weaver were the real heroes in my victory today.
I'll end today's story here. If you have any favourite strategies, don't forget to share them in the comments. See you in the next challenge of Splinterlands!
