Room remodel

Three months ago I posted photos of the room remodel that my kids had begun and I promised photos of the completed project.

Getting rid of the old carpet and laying new wood flooring and new paint changed the room completely. My kids did all the work themselves

The room was done before the holidays and was a cozy place for the neighbors to enjoy when they were invited over for a holiday dinner party. Everyone chose to gather in here after they were done eating instead of sitting in the main living room. They must have found it comfortable because everyone was there until well after midnight.

Textured wallpaper was added to the walls where you first enter the room, The
wood strips were added on the
wall behind the door to add interest and tie in visually with the wooden floor.

These tortoise shell handles were chosen to add to the closet doors.

They paid attention to details and added some new lighting.

The new couch folds out into a bed so that the room can still be used for guests

The floors are heated so there is really no need for a rug that would cover up the new wood floor.

They are still adding more decorating items, but they are spending a lot of time in here and are very happy with how it has turned out!

The decoration is so beautiful, no wonder everyone feels so comfortable relaxing there. If I were your neighbor, I'd be lying down and writing in that room every day🤭

Oh, Mel, your home looks so beautiful and welcoming.😍 I hadn't even seen the old look before saying to myself that this looked awesome. I love the tones of the new look the most, from the flooring to the other elements placed in their spots.
