True Decentralised Art Coming to Hive
If you haven't already picked up some NFTS why haven't you?
Coming to Hive is the first decentralised art and gaming protocol that you will be able to contribute to the development, participate in proposals and be rewarded. Hive continues to be a leading blockchain so it was only a matter of time before decentralised tokens started emerging.
Recently launched was the NFTS token which is the main governance token and if you're worried about over supply this kicker only has a total of 50,000 no more, no less.
Future improvements for the marketplace will also utilise Hive's ability to host an escrow which will enable you to transition NFTs across multiple chains. The escrow will also play a big role in Hive Racers which will enable people to lock in their tokens, art or other digital assets and battle it out with the winner taking all.
All Hive users will have the ability to explore, create and trade digital art on our soon to launch NFT marketplace where income is a community asset.

User Experience and ease of use will be central to what is being developed and we will also focus on curation of artists work through Hive transactions as the protocol will use Hive in it's trading. Hives already established community and functioning token means we don't need to create one and we benefit the entire network by using it.
So head on over to Tribal Dex to get involved in the action and don't miss out on the next best thing to hit Hive!

Is this your project mate?
When NFTs were going through their big hype phase a few months ago, I tried to get a graphic designer friend of mine onto Hive.
I set up his Hive account and applied for NFT Showrooom.
After waiting ages, they denied his account because they said his edits of Splinterlands cards (which I thought was a great idea and asked him to do), wasn't acceptible.
So obviously he was like da fuk decentralised lolol and never talked crypto again.
Do you have the same processes where you need to be 'whitelisted' to create an NFT?
Or is it a truly decentralised marketplace where people can put up what they want, when they want?

There is a whitelist process but referrals will be fine. Bala is currently coding it and putting it all together.
What is the thinking behind having a whitelist process?
Why can't it just be open slather?
To me, that completely defeats the purpose.

To present a barrier to people who launch multiple fake profiles and sell plagiarised art.
Ahk yep, that's fair enough.
But that makes this literally exactly the same as NFT showroom...
My take is that in the grand scheme of things, people are going to find a way to do that anyway in crypto.
Whether its on this platform or another, it doesn't matter - You can't stop it, so why set up these barriers...
I guess I'll have to keep waiting for someone to build a completely permissionless platform to mint and sell NFTs on Hive.

We can look at changing how it operates but I think it needs to align with the broader Hive terms of service around content. Whitelist is just an approval switch so once someone signs up they're approved. I wouldn't be too concerned about it.
Being able to interact with tech without needing permission is soon the ONLY thing that will matter in this space.
Just something to consider for your projects.
