Today, I am not here to share my Splinterlands battle, but rather something important related to Splinterlands that you should know if you play the game. If you are following Splinterlands on Discord, you might already be aware of what is happening. But in case you are not on the Splinterlands Discord server, I will explain.

There is someone advertising a desktop app for Splinterlands, and this is completely fake. The Splinterlands team has not developed any desktop app for the game yet. If you come across anything like this, stay away from it. Participating in such an app can be dangerous as it could be a phishing app that may harm your entire system and steal your cryptocurrency.

I saw this announcement on the official Discord server, which is why I strongly suggest joining the Splinterlands Discord if you are not already a member. It helps you stay informed about important updates and warnings like this. The scam is being circulated through a fake email containing a link to download a Splinterlands desktop app. If you click on it, your system could be compromised.

If you have already downloaded it, please remove it immediately. Always make sure that your Windows Defender and antivirus software are active so that you stay protected from such threats.

Lastly, the best practice is to always cross-check if you are on the official website of the product before downloading anything. In our case, only download applications if the link is from the official Splinterlands website. If you receive a link from a random email claiming to be from Splinterlands, it is definitely a scam.

Stay aware, stay safe, and keep playing Splinterlands. I am not sharing a battle today, but I will share one soon as I have completed my story mode in Splinterlands and already own many cards from all the elements in the game. Stay tuned for that.
