Splinterlands DAR GOTEM GEARNUT - Lucky Draw Event vs Buying it on the Market, what should you do?

Today we are not going to battle in Splinterlands. Instead, I want to share something special that is currently happening in the game. It is a limited time event that you can find under the Exclusive section in the shop. Just go to the shop and click on Exclusive, and you will reach the page shown in the screenshot below.
Right now, the event is ongoing, and you have two options:
Buy a legendary card called DAR GOTEM GEARNUT for 1050 vouchers.
Participate in a lucky draw.
Let us talk about the lucky draws and whether you should participate. In the screenshot below, you can see that the current lucky draw will end in twenty three minutes. By the time you read this blog, you might have already missed the first lucky draw.
In total, there will be five lucky draws. This is Day One, and each draw runs for 28 hours. The first draw is already over, and the second draw will start after the first ends. To participate, you need 35 tickets.
So, what are tickets? As shown in the screenshot below, Fortune Tickets are forged by landowners and are available on the open market. You need at least 35 tickets for one entry.
At the time of writing, one ticket costs around $0.48 , so buying 35 tickets would cost about $17. On the other hand, the card is currently available on the market for $14, which means you could save $3 by buying it directly.
The only potential advantage of the lucky draw is that one lucky participant will get a gold foil version of the DAR GOTEM GEARNUT card. This gold card is worth over $200. Even if you do not win the gold card, you will still get a normal foil card, worth around fourteen dollars.
So, if you feel lucky, the lucky draw could be fun to try. But if you do not want to spend extra and prefer a guaranteed card, buying it directly from the market is the safer choice.
I am still deciding whether I will try the lucky draw or just buy the card directly. I will share my decision here soon. For now, the choice is yours participate in the event and get your card. I like that card a lot and I want to own this at any cost.
