How to land & Exploring my land and my region 85 Xiang Pho - Central Fire

Hello land owner's of praetoria or future land owner's of praetoria. If you are thinking land is costly and i have limited amount of funds you want to get into land or you are already a land owner and thinking which plots to buy.

  1. Should I buy all plots in the same region?
  2. Should I buy lowest priced plots available on the market?
  3. What type is your region? - Some regions have 0 iron or 0 stone producing plots.

We will discuss this all in this post. If you haven't already seen my Non Card Market post it's a good read.

Let's begin with our region 85. For this we will go to Splintercards

This are all plots in region 85 now let's break it down at the resource level.

Region 85 plots overview

Stone - 252
Hills - 251
Desert - 0
Canyon - 1

Grain - 170
Bog - 8
Lake - 10
Plains - 147
River - 5

Wood - 447
Tundra - 281
Swamp - 99
Jungle - 12
Forest - 55

Iron - 131
Badlands - 10
Caldera - 18
Mountain - 103

By this we come to know that we are mainly wood producing region. Once you have figured out what overall your region is then you can place yourself in the mindset of what will you be producing as a land owner of this region.

There are many ways to look into this.

  1. Liquidity provider - If you are looking from the liquidity provider perspective then you can go for the least resource produced in our region 85 is iron only 131 plots. So anyone who wants iron will have to swap other resources to get iron that way you can get the most benefit out of it.

  2. Specialist - See the below details of production and consumption.

By seeing this you can determine which plot you should go for. In addition to this I was looking for profitability factor. Which resource is currently profitable to see that I looked at below chart.

1000071448.jpg

Grain is capped at 1 so resources above 1 are currently profitable if you are selling for dec or other resources. I will make a separate post for this. So on the basis of this chart I decided that I will be stone producer for my region.

I went the specialization route and bought as many plots as I could afford.

Now to answer the first question I bought all the stone plots in region 85. This is because I'm doing specialist task here producing stone. If I have different plots in different region i had to pay stone tax 10% to transfer to other region and then again convert to grain which is very costly.

Another thing I had in mind was how many land plots are available on the market if I'm going in as a stone specialist are there lands available in future that I can take advantage of. There were a lot of stone land plots available.

Now depending on the budget I checked the land market and thankfully there were 15 rare stone plots available and I went and bought all of them.

  1. Self sufficient - If you are this kind of player jack of all trades master of none then you can go for buying all resources.

Well everyone might be having this question which resources is valuable.

1000071452.jpg

To answer that question is none all resources are equally produced. So it doesn't matter if you are producing wood, stone, iron or grain. They all have same rate of production difference is difficulty Wood is 4x difficult
Stone is 10x difficult
Iron is 40x difficult

Wood = 0.005 production if we divide grain production by wood
0.02/0.005 = 4

That's how the wood is priced at 4 grains.

Same for stone and iron

Stone = 0.002
0.02/0.002 = 10

Iron = 0.0005
0.02/0.0005 = 40

So now it doesn't really matter which resource you produce as long as you are selfish sufficient this should be ok.

How will you come to know that you are self sufficient.

You can head over Here enter your username and go to region overview. Scroll down and you will find like below screenshot.

1000071454.jpg

  1. Whenever you play the land game your first objective is to be self sufficient.
  2. Is to slowly increase your dec per hour ratio to the maximum levels as per your cards.

Let's have a look at my dec per hour earnings.

At the time of writing this blog it's 89.215 dec per hour

Next question how is it? Is it good? Is it meh? Or is it exceptional?

Well to answer this question you need to have a look at my land. Let's see how much plots I own and how much of them are active.

1000071456.jpg

I have 20 plots. 16 rare and 4 magical commons. Out of those 20 plots 19 have cleared. But currently I'm only producing stone and 15 stone plots are active.

1000071458.jpg

Am i running at full efficiency?
No I'm currently having 680,100 dec and requirement is 978,696 dec so I'm running at 85% of my land is currently being utilised.

So what do you think this 85% is good bad or great for me. Personally for me it's bad right now I believe in 100% efficiency and I will also show how you can achieve that in future posts.

How is my land setup?

  • Bought land
  • Bought power core
  • Cleared land without time crystals
  • Feeded workers
  • Put 50k dec in
  • Made sure that my land had 1 common totem

Currently my 15 plots are producing stone and 1 stone plot is under construction.

How am I managing the grain deficiency that I'm having since I'm running all stone plots. You can buy grain stockpile it for your first claim and then convert stone to grain.

Eg if 2000 grain is consumed for stone claim i always have stockpile of grain greater than 2000. When I claim stone I first convert stone to 2000 grain.

At the time of this writing the stone to grain ratio is 13.121
This ratio at normal level should be 10 so I'm currently getting 3.121 grain for free during my swaps. Which is what I'm taking advantage of. Last week this ratio was 14 and few weeks before in some land post it was 17.

Once I get my 2000 grain remaining whatever the amount i convert it to dec and add dec to total amount staked. So everytime i stake my stake slowly increases to a full of 100% efficiency.

In my land setup? I never mentioned anything about buying cards. Yes because I'm renting all my land cards. This way my cost to purchase cards is reduced and goes into buying or upgrading more land to it's maximum potential.

Let's see what I'm producing per hour. 1110.188 per hour minus taxes. Now let's see where I'm in rankings.

1000071460.jpg

I'm ranked 1126 overall but if you look production wise my production is beating top 20.

1000071462.jpg

Now let's check in my region 85

1000071464.jpg

I'm ranked 35 but that production rate even beats top 1.

1000071466.jpg

So currently I'm the number 1 stone producer in my region just by renting.

What are my next steps to stop here or go on further so my goal as per my investment is to hold 27 plots of land all with common totems. I already own 20. Now the question is which 7 plots should I go for stone, wood, iron or grain. Let's see how much time it's gonna take to take us there.
