Splinterlands - Sets Costs Per League Cap.

avatar

There is a tool on monstermarket.io and I would like to review it in today's post. The tool I am focused on is the Cost Estimator and there are unique filters that allows users to compare total cost per card edition at each specific league. Let get to it.

Max Level Sets

Over at Splintercards.com we can see how much max level set of Untamed, Chaos Legions, and Riftwatchers easily accessible. However these are still ball park estimate of the total cost per set. Monstermarket.io has more accurate price estimates since it takes into consideration current market prices of the cards.

For those who are unaware monstermarket.io is a 3rd party website for users to purchase Splinterlands cards with a 3% cashback for spending either DEC or Credits. For those fear it could potentially be a scam, I can attest it is not. I have bought hundreds if not thousands of cards through the website and the cards are not really held by the site but is only an interface to access the Splinterland's card market. So all the cards you see in the game that is on sale are seen through monstermarket.io

Anyways over on monstermarket we get to see not only max level cost per set but can also have it broken out into separate leagues.

Monstermarket's Cost Estimator

The diamond and champion leagues do not have caps on cards therefore the cost for the sets are the same. Snapshot above shows currently the price for a max level set of Chaos is a little over $6k.

For the max level Untamed set it is a little over $41k. What a big difference than what is estimated in Splintercards, $41k versus $31k respectively.

Then there is the gold league where Cost Estimator shows level caps per each card rarity. Below are Chaos and Untamed for gold league.

Interesting to see at gold league it will cost $3.4k for a Chaos set and $22.9k for a Untamed set. Then we have silver league which I think would be bare minimum to get a good gaming experience.

The sets are now $1.4k for Chaos and $9.5k for Untamed. Of course there are bronze and novice. It is note worthy that a spell book will cover a majority of the cards to qualify novice league.

Conclusions

Chart above is a graphical summary of each league's cost to max either Chaos or Untamed based on level caps. The cost difference rises exponentially as we move further out in the leagues but both Diamond and Champion leagues are the same.

The goal here is to see how much it would cost to use the cards of each set at their fullest. Not to spend more or less per each league and we can see if you really wanted to play let say Silver league it actually takes only a fraction of the cost than if at Diamond or Champion leagues.

Until next time thanks for reading!!!

The price differences are quite huge and I definitely think it's better to focus on the chaos legion to be price efficient. I guess this is the effect of out of print cards and they are still required for fights.

Certainly a big difference. Alpha and beta were removed on splintercards likely because it’s estimated max set is too extreme. !LOL !WINE
