Splinterlands - My Daily Rants Nov. 2022

Today's Town Hall had a lot of updates from Defense Tower progress to Land Expansion. One news event I felt stood out the most was the announcement of Lux Vega sale on next Tuesday, Nov. 15th at 4pm EST.

Bottom line is the card will only have 1,000 ever to be printed and a little over 200 likely locked up by Splinter Fest participants. With a cost of $1000 each and potential cost reduction of up to 50% with the use of 500 vouchers, each voucher equal value of $1.

I personally believe the card will be sold out in seconds on its official launch. For now its a wait and see.

Opening 3 Gladius Cases

Another brawl completed and I had saved enough Merit from separate brawls and reward chests to be able to purchase 3 cases.

What luck on the first case getting a gold foil rare and a epic.

Second case not too shabby either with three rares.

I closed out with a rare and epic in the third case.

Out of curiosity have you guys been pulling higher rarity cards in recent pack and case openings? It sure seems that way to me.

My Push To Top 100 In Silver

As I discussed in prior post that I am planning to get into top 100 in silver league as of now it seems to be feasible. With half way through the season I manage to be just on the cutoff of top 100.

I am way behind from top 10 let in rank points but hopefully I can catch up as I gradually stack wins. In regards to playing in silver league I now found that it is much more challenging to play in the top 100 than first suspected.

My battles to get me near top 100 were mostly win streaks.

Then it was an uphill climb as I struggle to even get a win streak going when my rating was over 2000.

I feel my card collection is a good fit in the silver league and with the experience I have playing the game I don't plan on moving onto Gold for this season.

I will wait until the final day of the season to determine if I should move into Gold or stay in Silver. My thought is if I do well in Silver and able to rank high enough to earn end of season DEC I will remain in Silver. On the other hand if I am unable to rank well in Silver I will play into the Gold league on the final day. That way I position myself for next season to earn gold league end of season chests. I am trying to be as efficient in earning rewards as I can. Every little bit counts.

DEC Near Peg

With so much news and uses for DEC it makes sense that DEC would soon be pegged.

There is even potential for DEC to go over peg as it does not have a cap, but whether that happens will depend on how much demand there really is for players to be spending their DEC.
