Splinterlands - Blood and Power Stones

First off this post is not meant to brag in anyway. In fact I am just looking at some of the incentives members have in higher guilds and if they are truly worth it. Today's post I want to look into the Blood and Power Stones.

What Are They?

Since the introduction of Gladius Cases there were also Blood and Power Stones. Blood Stones increase the chances of opening a legendary in a case by twice the odds. While a Power Stone increases the chance of opening a gold foil in a case by twice the odds. This sounds familiar?

Yes this is similar to how legendary and alchemy potions work on Chaos and Rift-watchers booster packs. The potions increases the odds of opening legendary or gold foil cards respectively.

Leveing Up

My guild has its shop building up to level 6. This has unlocked blood stone for us to purchase. Meanwhile Power Stone will require level 8 which I believe my guild will be looking ahead to upgrade soon enough.

Test Run Blood Stones

With that I have currently enough Merit to obtain two cases and 10 Blood Stones. I have purchase the assets and will open them and document the results on this post.

First pack's results came in with a disappointment. I had the typical 1 rare and 4 commons. This was 50 merits not well spent.

Second pack results a little better with 2 rares and 3 commons but again the Blood Stones did not bring me any legendary cards.

Conclusions

For spending 100 merits on the stones to test run on some cases I thought it was worth it. I may not have ended up benefiting from it yet I had the opportunity to use it and this time I was not lucky.

Would I recommend purchasing stones if your guild has the opportunity? Honestly probably would do so. For 10 merits a stone it does not seem that much compare to a pack being 2000 merits. So for 2050 merits in total to have better odds of getting better cards I think its worth the risk. Do a simple math arithmetic one would need to purchase 200 stones to equate to one Gladius case. That is better odds in opening 40 cases which I must say is better than spending the 2000 for one case without the better odds.
