Some Random Updates Off-Screen

The image above is something I did when I'm doodling and checking around this program called Aseprite. Aseprite is a program dedicated in doing pixel arts. I was inspired by @Durlan when he won last week's 2nd place for Splinterlands Art Contest. I learned about Aseprite because of his post.
Pixel Art feels easier than drawing because of the smaller area needed to be filled. At the same time, Pixel Art also may be hard because of the same limitation as it limits what you can do. As someone who has limited know-how about drawing, I think pixel art is a good place to start to develop my artistic talent.

I did this one in a 16 by 16 pixel and on the workspace, it looks so amazing. Once you saved it, it would look like the one on the right which completely removed all of my excitement afterwards.
Also, don't ask me what that is. I was doodling just trying things around so I don't even know what I drew. Whatever you think it is, that's it.
Another thing I learned and I got this from watching a random pixel art tutorial is that pixel art differs from drawing because you're more like sculpting than drawing. In drawing, you do lines, then fill them out with colors depending on what you want to happen. In Pixel Art, you don't do lines. You do a shadow or silhouette of your image then expand from it. It's better because if you need to adjust something, say I want to add a pixel, every other pixel will need to adjust as well. Doing it feels more like molding clay than drawing.
I also wanted to try it because I also thought that if I get better, I can use pixel art to improve my dividers and other assets used when posting rather than relying on images, videos and other things from other people which would make my post more appealing. In the future if I get better, I can also use this new skill to join Splinterlands Art Contest and try to win myself some packs.

I'm now Diamond II
On the other news, I finally reached a new tier in Splinterlands and currently competing in Diamond II.
I did a different strategy which is using Lux Vega instead of renting each element's summoner to cover all elements. I then used Lily Shieldpaw as my main summoner for majority of my battles. I did this instead of Lorkus because I had a lot of battles where they used Lily Shieldpaw and lost on them. So, I thought I'd try them out.
The main strategy is using Lily's ability so enemies would only target the tanks and then use one of the most durable unit in the game, Baakjira, to tank them. Next, is a combo of Runemancer Rye, a water magic unit that has Life Leech, and Oshuur Constantia or Merdaali Guardian for the Tank Heal. I discovered that Life Leech can increase the amount of heal the units can get and been using this to my advantage.
Upon reaching this magnificent rank, I got these as the rewards.
The downside is currently, while I am on Diamond II at 3200 rating, Splinterlands season reset will be in a few days and I'll get demoted back to Gold again but that's the game, I guess.

It looks nice to make your first pixel arts compared to the first one I made and if you want it bigger just increase the sprite size with the nearest-neighbor option.
@durlan I'm practicing now based on the size of your entry in Splinterlands. I think 128x128 is the canvas size but the character will be around 64x64. I want it to be less if possible but it just looked so little like that expectation vs reality thing haha
