Are you looking for a ranged unit that can handle both magic and ranged enemies? How do you protect your high value units when Snipe and Sneak are off the table? Can abilities like Silence and Headwinds make a big difference in such battles?

Endura Brune is really good in battles where enemy targeting options are limited like in the Fog of War rule set. With her Silence and Headwinds abilities she can reduce a lot of damage and help your team withstand powerful magic and ranged attacks. The nail in the coffin is if you can use Endura Brune in rule sets that limits the use of melee units but let's see how effective she really is in such situations.

This is a sweet deal to be honest. You can get Endura Brune for $60 for a full level 4 which allows you to use all of her skills. Endura Brune is also a Rebellion unit so you don't need to worry about her being out for Modern Ranked Format in the next few months.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Renting Endura Brune is kind of tough as she is really expensive like other Rebellion legendary units. Once in a while though, you can encounter these passed good deals which is very affordable. You can't do it right now though because this 13.90 DEC per day deal? Well, I snatched it as I write this post. Good luck on the next season and try to get it faster.

Rule Sets:

Use it in...

All units have Magic Reflect (returns 50% of magic damage to attacker, rounded up). Magic Reflect becomes even better because of Amplify. It doubles down on punishing enemies who rely on magic attacks by increasing the damage of Magic Reflect by 1.

Only units with ranged attacks may be used. Reducing enemy's range attack when they can only use range units are very good for me. Endura Brune is also a range unit so you can use her in Going the Distance while reducing the enemy's range attacks with her Headwinds ability as well.

Units with Melee attack may not be used in battles. This is the best rule set you can play Endura Brune in. She reduces both range and magic attacks which, in this rule set, the only ones you can use.

Avoid using it in...

Since Endura Brune has a ranged attack she'll receive damage back from her own attack because of Return Fire. This is very problematic if you don't have Triage to heal up those damage dealt by your own units. Endura Brune doesn't have any protection against this so you need units to protect her.

Units with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks. Swiftness increases the Speed of all friendly units which is bad for Reverse Speed. The increased speed can make your team struggle more in this setup. The more your units have speed, the later they can attack. They also misses more which is a problem if it happens often.

Non-flying Units take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round. Endura Brune will take continuous damage without Flying ability and no way to avoid it. This puts her at a big disadvantage in this rule set.

Battle Strat: Endura Brune is a solid choice for this strategy because her Silence and Headwinds abilities greatly reduce enemy magic and range damage output. With the Keep Your Distance rule set in place, melee units are out of the equation allowing Endura Brune to focus on her ranged attacks safely. Additionally, Fog of War prevents the enemy from using targeting abilities like Snipe, Opportunity, and Sneak making it harder for them to break through defenses and target Endura directly.

Battle Summary: With Cryptic's Exposed ability, I can counter the enemy's counter that will make me lose the battle. In this one, I probably will lose because of Iziar's Void as half of my team deals magic attacks. On the other hand, Endura Brune working as intended reducing all of the enemy unit's attacks since they cannot use melee, which is the weakness of this build.
