I got mixed feelings about the Conclave Arcana release. It kinda made me sad that Chaos Legion will move out of Modern by May 13th (Goodbye Obsidian), Renting cards are going to be more expensive as well but at the same time, I feel excited because of the new abilities and rule sets coming, especially the bloodlines thing.

Bloodlines is super cool because it let you use units from other elements if they have the same bloodlines. It will change the way people play Splinterlands and create more combos and chaos. With the introduction of these changes, I hope Splinterlands will be even more fun to play than before.

What are you most excited about with the release of Conclave Arcana?

I have mixed feelings about the release of Conclave Arcana. The major disappointment is that by next month, Chaos Legion will now be put at the back and cannot be used in Modern Ranked Format which means renting price will increase by a lot.

On the other hand, I am excited about the new abilities and new rule sets that will be revealed with this new set. The one I am most excited about is bloodlines. This would change the Splinterlands strategies because now, you can use water units with fire even if they aren't water elements as long as they have the same bloodlines.

I am also excited about this new ability called, "Relentless Strike." While this will be a problem for the strategies I use, I think it's a good change for everyone. I also had a really good interaction (and also a quick update) in the Discord regarding this.

Any card art, lore teasers, or abilities you're hoping to see?

There's no particular card art, lore teasers or abilities I really want to see but I want Splinterlands devs to make most of the lore. What do I mean by this?

"The species of the Splinterlands are divided into nineteen types" and "Races are further classified by bloodlines, which mirror either species or race, depending on which more directly defines ancestry" and we have "Ulund" as one of the bloodlines in the game. No, Ulund is not in the list of the species or transformations (which is a subspecies not included in the nineteen species). My point is why do we have a lore if we don't use and apply it to Splinterlands?

Ulund is a race and not species but right now, as of the time of this writing, the splinterlore has no records of it. I find this problematic because it means the lore is currently useless. Unlike Legends of Runeterra, you cannot use Splinterlands lore to predict future possible cards. Why? Because the devs just possible won't use it. Why is that is a question I started asking after the introduction of bloodlines.

What I want to see is the devs or writers or whoever is in charge of this, apply the lore more. Splinterlands have a lot of lore that are unused and I wish they focus more on these already existing lores as they go in to the future.

How do you think this set will impact your personal strategy?

I mostly use Chaos Legion so that being out of Modern Ranked Format can affect me negatively. I am cooking some theoretical lineups and my Bera Dallin - Avina of the Wolf combo and Prophet Rosa - Wave Brood combo are as well.

This will be a very interesting change and I do hope the new abilities after the initial launch will focus more towards bloodlines as it is such a cool concept to add.
