Rising Star - I choose one song per day, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Toco y me voy: Bersuit Vergarabat

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

Starting in May, I started to create a playlist to keep track of the last songs I commented on in my posts. It will be useful for me not to doubt if I had already talked about a song before or not. The last song is: Lo mejor del amor of Rodrigo

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Toco y me voy of the argentine rock group Bersuit Vergarabat.

I don't remember specifically at what point in my life I was aware of this song of the group. What I am sure, is that I have heard it thanks to the musical influence that video games have. In this case, I remember that I had played a pirated version of the soccer game PES 2010/2012/2013 (I don't remember the title. In that version, you could use second division teams of the Argentine league.

In the menu, the songs were absolutely all cumbia or national rock songs based on soccer. One of them was Toco y me voy, a song that talks about the passion for soccer in my country.

Before listening to this song, I did not know the group Bersuit Vergarabat. Thanks to this song, I was able to discover another song of the group that I loved: La Soledad. It is the group's most famous song, followed closely by Toco y me Voy.

Bersuit Vergarabat is an Argentine band formed in 1988 in Buenos Aires. The group fuses rock with Argentine rhythms such as cumbia, murga and tango.

Toco y me voy is part of the album Hijos del culo which was released in 2000. This album also included several national hits such as Desconexion Sideral, El Viejo de arriba and La Bolsa. It has 70 million plays on the Spotify platform and 5 million on Youtube.
