In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: Me vas a extrañar: Damas Gratis

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Mo Money Mo Problems of the american artists The Notorious B.I.G, Mase and Diddy. The Notorious B.I.G has been one of the most important artists in the Hip-Hop genre. His influence grew even more after his death, leaving as a legacy a sublime discography and a style that continues to mark new generations of rappers.

I started listening to Hip-Hop during my teenage years, when I played GTA San Andreas and listened to Radio Los Santos which had many Hip Hop hits from the 90's and 00's. When I was playing GTA: San Andreas multiplayer, I remember that, at the age of 13, a lot of Snoop Dogg songs had been recommended to me. Among them all, my favorite was his collaboration with Dr. Dre on Still D.R.E., a hip-hop classic.

A few years ago, I was getting more into Hip-Hop, getting to know pioneer artists in the genre like Eric B and Rakim. It wasn't until I met Tupac that I heard Biggie for the first time, because when I researched about his history, I learned about the conflict between the two, which ended tragically with the death of both of them.

Mo Money Mo Problems is one of the most successful songs of The Notorious B.I.G, it was released in 1997 as part of the album “Life After Death”. In the song, two very important artists like Puff Daddy and Mase collaborate.

The song was so successful that it reached the number 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100. On the Spotify platform it has 547 million plays and on Youtube it has 121 million plays.
