In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: Canción de Alicia En El Pais of the argentine group Seru Giran.

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is La sal no sala of the argentine artist Charly Garcia

Charly Garcia is on the podium of the most important artists of all time in Spanish music. His legacy both as a soloist and in bands such as Seru Giran and Sui Generis, marked a before and after in Argentine national rock.

Since I was a kid, I have been influenced by my mother's music. I remember she used to download National Rock songs from her youth and play them at full volume. Besides her influence, I have always liked Rock itself, since I was a teenager listening to English and Spanish rock bands.

In the last three years, my interest in national rock has grown significantly. I discovered bands like Rata Blanca and Los Abuelos de la Nada, of which I became a fan. Two years ago, I decided to give Charly García a chance. At first, I thought I wouldn't like his music, but the opposite happened: I was fascinated. His instrumentals got me completely hooked.

To this day, I am still discovering musical work as “La sal no sala” of my favorite artist. Many of them, I discovered them thanks to Spotify and its music recommendations, which have been very useful for me.

Charly García was born in 1951 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a composer and singer considered one of the most influential artists in the history of rock in Spanish. He began his career with Sui Generis, a folk rock band that was moderately successful at the time.

The great peak of his career came with Serú Girán, a band he formed together with Oscar Moro, David Lebón and Pedro Aznar. With iconic albums such as La grasa de las capitales and Peperina, they achieved enormous recognition throughout the country.

After the dissolution of Serú Girán, Charly García embarked on his solo career, achieving even greater success. He released legendary albums such as Piano Bar, Clics Modernos, Parte de la religión and Yendo de la cama al living room.
