Rising Star - I choose one song per day, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - It´s a Man´s, Man´s, Man´s World: James Brown

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: Magia of Gustavo Cerati.

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is It´s a Man´s, Man´s, Man´s World of the american legendary artist James Brown.

In recent times I have become quite a fan of the music of the 50's to 00's generations. I consider that musically they are far superior to the most popular songs of recent times. Thanks to that, I have listened to several genres that were more famous in those years, such as Country, Jazz, Blues and Rock.

I have known the artist James Brown, thanks to my favorite Argentinean artist: Charly Garcia. In one of his songs from his best album “Clic Modernos”, he uses a sample of James Brown's song Hot Pants, where you can hear him screaming. Thanks to this, I did some research on the artist and started listening to his greatest hits.

I found songs I already knew like I Got You and The Boss. But I also discovered new songs that I thought were really good like The Boss, It's a Man's, Man's, Man's World, Get Up Offa That Thing and Get Up I Feel Like Being Like a Sex Machine.

James Brown was born in 1933 in Georgia. During his youth, he had problems with the law and spent time in a juvenile detention center where he met Bobby Bird, who would accompany him during his musical career. James Brown was one of the pioneers of Funk, with songs like Sex Machine and Papa Got a Brand New Bag. This genre would end up inspiring other better known genres such as Hip-Hop and Disco.

The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application.
