Good evening everyone!

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: Natural Born Killaz: Ice Cube & Dr Dre

Fuck Wit Dr.Dre Day: Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Fuck Wit Dre Day: Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg.

When I was a kid I had heard Dr.Dre and Snoop Doog songs like Still Dr.Dre or Nuthin but a G Thang. However, it wasn't until I saw a documentary called Straight Outta Compton that I became fully educated about the life of my favorite artist: Dr Dre.

In the documentary, you can see how the relationship between the members of the band is breaking up. Once they break up, they start dedicating songs to each other. Fuck With Dre Day is a song by Dr.Dre that mainly attacks the former N.W.A partner Eazy-E. He also attacks other artists such as Tim Dog, where Snoop Dogg completely humiliates him after insulting West Coast rappers.

Dr Dre has become over time my favorite artist of the genre, mostly because I love the beats he prepares for his songs, they are on another level. Add to that the fact that he is accompanied by great rappers in his songs, makes all his albums legendary.

Andre Romelle Young (Dr Dre), was born in 1965 in Compton, California. He grew up in a neighborhood surrounded by violence and drugs, but he always focused on music. In the 80's, he was part of a group called “World Class Wreckin Cru”, an electro-pop group.

In 1986 along with other people from Compton, he formed the group N.W.A (Nigga With Attitudes) with Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Mc Ren and Dj Yella. In 1988 they released their first album, achieving worldwide success. However, soon after they had problems with their manager which ended with the dissociation of most of the members of the group.

After the dissolution of the band, Dr Dre opted for a solo career in which he became one of the most successful artists of the genre. But that's not all, he was very important in the formation of artists such as Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar.
