Rising Star - I choose one song per day, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Escape: Rupert Holmes

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: La sal no sala: Charly Garcia

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Escape of the artist Rupert Holmes. The other day I got tired of listening to Rock Nacional all the time for several weeks.

So I decided to explore more songs from other known genres to not burn my favorite music so much. So I searched through my playlist and decided to listen to one I have of classics from the 70's, 80's and 90's.

One of the features I like the most that Spotify has added in the last few years is that, every time you listen to a playlist of a related genre, it always gets it right with the song recommendations to follow in the same line. That's how I met Escape by Rupert Holmes.

Escape by Rupert Holmes is a song that I have heard at various stages of my life. I'm pretty sure it was on a radio station in the car or something similar, but the fact is that I recognized it as soon as its first chords began to play.

Rupert Holmes is a successful English pop singer, born in 1947 in London. He moved to the United States as a young man, where he began to develop his passion for music. He studied at a prestigious art school to train as a musician and began his career in the 1970s, achieving his first big hit with “Escape (The Piña Colada Song)”.

The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
