Rising Star - I choose one song per day, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Desastre: Gustavo Cerati

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: No te creas tan importante: Damas Gratis.

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Desastre of the artist Gustavo Cerati.

Gustavo Cerati is one of the most famous Spanish Rock artists in history. He has left an undeniable legacy in Argentine National Rock.

Soda Stereo, one of the bands formed by Cerati, became the most massive national rock band. Their music reached everywhere, even with people who do not usually listen to Rock. What person in Argentina does not know “De música ligera”, “Profugos” or “Persiana Americana”.

At the end of 2000, Soda Stereo stopped dissolving, so he decided to try his luck as a soloist. His solo career was also a success, he released very successful albums such as “Amor Amarillo”, “Siempre es hoy”, “Ahi vamos” and “Bocanada”.

My history with the group starts from childhood. I have had a great influence from my mother in terms of music. The music of her time used to be national rock, so she taught me a lot of artists like Charly Garcia, Andres Calamaro and Gustavo Cerati, also groups like Sui Generis, Seru Giran, Soda Stereo, Rata Blanca and Los Twists.

Two years ago, a friend recommended me to listen to Gustavo Cerati's solo albums. I think I was listening for a whole month to his album “Siempre es hoy”, followed by “Bocanada” and “Ahi vamos”. In a short time, he became my second favorite artist of the genre, only surpassed by the genius of Charly Garcia.
