[ENG-ESP] Playing a Wild Tournament and Merging all my Gladiators. - Social Media Challenge
Good morning everyone! Today I'm back with more Splinterlands content. Last time, I was improving all my common cards from the Rebellion set, it was a pretty extensive post where I explained which cards I used and which ones I didn't use.
Today's format will be similar, but with the difference that I will also be talking about an Official Wild Tournament that I have played in the past few weeks.

El formato de hoy sera parecido, pero con la diferencia de que también estaré hablando sobre un Torneo Oficial de Wild que he jugado en estas semanas
Last Saturday I signed up for a Wild Ranked Intermediate Level Caps tournament. I wanted to try my luck to see if I could get some of the rewards, at least reach the rank of top 65 to 128, which gives approximately 600 DEC, much more than the 200 DEC that the entry fee is.
My last experiences playing tournaments were not all good. I play my cards pretty fast and I don't stop to think about a solid strategy, so I usually end up losing the tournaments without getting a reward.
El sábado pasado me inscribí en un torneo de Intermediate Level Caps de Wild Ranked. Quería probar suerte para ver si podía llevarme alguna de las recompensas, al menos alcanzar el rango del top 65 al 128, que otorga aproximadamente 600 DEC, bastante más que los 200 DEC que cuesta la entrada.
Mis ultimas experiencias jugando torneos no fueron del todo positivas. Soy de jugar mis cartas bastante rápido y no me detengo a pensar una estrategia muy sólida, por lo que generalmente termino perdiendo los torneos sin llevarme recompensa.
Another reason that affects my performance in tournaments is that the participants are usually at a much higher elo than me.
My first game I decided to play with the element where I have my strongest cards: fire. The rules of the battles did not allow summoner abilities, so I had to put a tank and all ranged attacks and magic damage behind. Unlike my strategy, I usually use a card that attacks melee from the second position and the same in the third place.
Otro de los motivos que afectan mi rendimiento en los torneos, es que los participantes suelen estar en un elo bastante superior al mio.
Mi primera partida decidi jugar con el elemento dónde tengo mis cartas más fuertes: fuego. Las reglas de las batallas no permitian habilidades de invocadores, asi que me tocó poner un tanque y todos ataques a distancia y daño mágico atras. A diferencia de mi estrategia, que suelo usar una carta que ataca a melee desde la segunda posición y lo mismo en el tercer lugar.
I ended up losing the game, because I didn't pay attention to the fact that all the cards had Return Fire. That meant that only the tank was left alive in the first three rounds.
The next battle had as a main rule that all cards had Opportunity (melee cards attack those with less life from any position). So I decided to play with my water element deck where I have very strong Melee cards.
Terminé perdiendo la partida, debido a que no le preste atención a que todas las cartas tenian Return Fire. Eso llevó a que solo quede con vida el tanque en las tres primeras rondas.
La próxima batalla tenia como regla principal que todas las cartas contaban con Oportunidad (las cartas a melee atacan a las que menos vida tienen desde cualquier posición). Asi que decidi jugar con mi mazo del elemento de agua dónde tengo cartas muy fuertes a Melee.
I ended up winning the battle by quite a difference, because it was a very effective strategy the composition I presented.
In the next battle, there was a similar situation, also all the cards had Opportunity, which led me to end up presenting a similar team.
Termine ganando por bastante diferencia la batalla, debido a que fue una estrategia bastante efectiva la composición que presente.
En la siguiente batalla, se dio una situación similar, también todas las cartas tenian Oportunidad, lo que llevó a que termine presentando un equipo similar.
Unfortunately, this time my strategy with the Water deck was not entirely effective, although I came close.
I submitted all the teams for the tournament and waited for the results on Sunday, hoping for some reward. But, true to my "good" luck, I ended up with 4 wins and 7 losses, finishing in 134th place.... only six places away from winning a prize.
Lamentablemente, esta vez mi estrategia con el mazo de Agua no fue del todo eficaz, aunque estuve cerca.
Presenté todos los equipos para el torneo y esperé los resultados el domingo, con la esperanza de llevarme alguna recompensa. Pero, fiel a mi "buena" suerte, terminé con 4 victorias y 7 derrotas, quedando en el puesto 134... a solo seis posiciones de llevarme un premio.
Once the tournament was over, I set out to continue improving my cards from the Gladiator set in order to bring it here.
Let's start with one of my favorite cards from the Gladiator set: Krash Wanderford. It's a card with a low mana cost, that can tanky very well and gives +1 speed to the whole team. I've managed to upgrade this card to level 3, where I increased his speed by one point (if that's any good).

We continue with Alva The Crusher, a card that seems to have decent stats but that doesn't really catch my attention to use it in a game. Besides, I don't usually play water decks that much, which further reduces the chances of using it.

Isgald Vorst is a Water element card that I've used a bit more than the previous one, mainly because it has pretty decent stats and the ability to attack from any position. I recently upgraded her from level 2 to level 3, where she improves her attack by +1, making her even more useful in my strategies.

I consider Katrelba Gobson to be the strongest card I have from the Gladiator set for the Earth element. She has excellent stats, brings the Sneak ability, and also returns 2 points of damage every time she takes a hit, which makes her very valuable in battle.
Thanks to my leveling her up to level 3, she now has +1 health, a very useful upgrade considering she's not exactly known for her stamina.
Considero que Katrelba Gobson es la carta más fuerte que tengo del set Gladiator para el elemento Tierra. Cuenta con excelentes estadísticas, aporta la habilidad Sneak y, además, devuelve 2 puntos de daño cada vez que recibe un golpe, lo cual la hace muy valiosa en batalla.
Gracias a que la subí al nivel 3, ahora tiene +1 de vida, una mejora muy útil teniendo en cuenta que no se destaca precisamente por su resistencia.
Cutter Brieze is a very interesting card to use in battles with limited mana. It has very basic stats, but with little mana, it can make a difference.

In order not to make this post too long, I have decided to present two cards together: Alfredo and Orella Abadon. Both are very useful options, especially in battles with limited mana, as they offer excellent base stats in relation to their low mana cost.

We continue with one of the best cards in the Gladiator set: Relenor Cleaver. It is a water element card with the ability to attack from the second position. It has very good base stats but a much higher mana cost, ideal for battles where you have more than 50/60 mana to use.
The funny thing is that, by raising it to level 2, it improved in two stats: it gained +1 armor and +1 health.
Continuamos con una de las mejores cartas que hay del set Gladiator: Relenor Cleaver. Es una carta del elemento de agua con la habilidad para atacar desde la segunda posición. Tiene muy buenas estadisticas base pero un coste de mana bastante superior, ideal para batallas en las que se te brinda más de 50/60 de maná para utilizar.
Lo curioso es que, al subirla a nivel 2, mejoró en dos estadísticas: ganó +1 de armadura y +1 de vida.
Ajax Lightfoot is a card with good stats of the Life element. I don't have that many cards of that element, so it can be an option in my battles if they allow the use of gladiators.
I have managed to upgrade it to level two, where it has gained +1 max life.

Witch of Warwick is a very powerful card from the Death set. It has excellent base stats and a very useful ability that poisons enemy cards.
At level three, it is upgraded by +1 of its life to give it a little bit of resistance in case there are enemy cards with Opportunity.

Finally, we have one of the most broken cards of the Gladiator set: Trapp Falloway. He costs only 4 mana and has impressive stats like 4 attack damage, 5 health and 4 speed. In addition, he has an ability that reduces the maximum life of enemies by -1.

Those have been most of the cards that I have improved this last weekend. There have been two or three more cards, but I preferred not to mention them so as not to be repetitive, as they also fit into the useful cards in battles with low mana limit.

Tournaments are really competitive in my opinion, so it is not unrare to finish off the rewards. I play Ranked Modern in Diamond League and there I get easier opponents.
