Hello guys, A pleasant day to you all. It's been a while since I have done blogging, ever since I had a job I wasn't able to come up with ideas for blogging and its been months since I have visited Hiveblog. I will say that Hiveblog has been a fun chapter in my life, It was never my hobby to write or to read but because of splinterlands, I was able to venture into this part of the hive blockchain and I believe that trying is better than nothing and so here I am again creating a blog of the first thing that introduced me to it, which is Splinterlands.

I'm not really an expert when it comes to strategizing and combos at splinterlands, what I usually do is use gold foil cards that are cheap and try to create a combo out of it. With the addition of rules and mana caps, sometimes you will not be able to get the combo that you want and that is why having a large choices of cards is important.

The season is about to end in 2 days and with 80 energy I was able to reach a rating of 1360 (Silver II League). It was fun playing again. trying out new techniques, new combos and new cards. Personally, I prefer to use magic because when I started playing before, the strongest combo was "alric = summoner, oshanus = front line, and venari wavesmith. there is something about the "magic" line up that is hard to counter at the same time very powerful. same concept applies with my combo now, sa you can see from this battle, I have "queen mycelia" for protection against any attacks besides magic.

I made it to silver II mostly because of the magic lineup, I know by gold there will be harder fights to come and broken combos but for my strat, which is "renting the cheapest cards", It still can climb ranks.

Here are some samples of my battles/Lineups.

Some of these battles are easy wins since majority of the fights I had are with level one summoners, but once i reached silver II, I was up with high leveled summoners and it started to get harder to climb. regardless, my goal was to enjoy the game and learn from it again. I like to watch the entire fight instead of just skipping for the results. Every fight is a new combo, every fight is a new possibility and my aim is not about winning but about enjoying. I was even surprised that I made it to silver league because I just rented cheap cards and made the most out of it.

image.png

Some wins, some losses but the most important thing is learning and having fun. It's also the small details sometimes that makes you win, so analyzing the battle before it happens is crucial, I had battles where it was a level one summoner but i still lost.

Here is the list of cards I rented.

Earth element:

Life element:

Neutral Element:

I rented all of this for only 128 dec per day for 4 days, which is around 6 pesos per day and 24 pesos in total. Not bad for just having fun playing.

Overall it was fun to play this game again. My goal is to reach silver I before the season ends and hopefully get some amazing cards in the glint shop. This is all for now, Have a great day everyone.

Dear beloved Hive creator,

Coding poet Gudasol here to support you sharing your art + life on Hive.

As a fellow creator, I know how hard it is to get the word out there.

I built cXc.world to help creators like us get more support from the blockchain community + beyond.

Share your music on cXc.world, and copy the Markdown for a easy post includes embedded players for Spotify, Youtube, Soundcloud.

That way, you can earn HIVE + stack streams on centralized platforms, as they do still matter.

Not a music creator? No problem. You can still use cXc.world to find + share music you love.

What's next?

Preview the next evolution of cXc, Tetra.earth.

Expose local music from your area!

We're helping grassroots musicians, and you can too by adding their music (no sign up or WAX account required).

Bad news: Saying see you later to Hive! 👋

We didn't get the needed support to continue cXc.world on Hive, as our DHF proposal lacked votes, but [Good News Everyone] cXc.world will add a Markdown copy button, allowing you to easily share your music + music you find on Hive.

For now, we're on WAX, with tools you can use to mint your own Music/Media NFT collection.
