Finally I have found some time to participate again in the @splinterlands contest this week. This time I have chosen to make an anime style illustration of the character Divine Sorceress , this change of style is because I wanted to experiment a little with new techniques and brushes, and this seemed to me a good opportunity to practice. Although I had some characters in my sights, I chose this sorceress because I was looking for a human character, without so many details and a little simple, since I had some time without leaving my comfort zone, the chibis. I hope you like this version and, without further ado, I leave you with my process!

Finalmente he sacado algo de tiempo para poder participar nuevamente en el concurso de @splinterlands de esta semana. En esta ocasión he optado por realizar una ilustración en estilo anime del personaje Divine Sorceress , este cambio de estilo se debe a que quería experimentar un poco con nuevas técnicas y pinceles, y esta me pareció una buena oportunidad para practicar. Aunque tenía algunos personajes en la mira, opté por esta hechicera dado que buscaba a un personaje humano, sin tantos detalles y que fuera un poco sencillo, ya que tenía algo de tiempo sin salir de mi zona de confort, los chibis. ¡Espero que les guste esta versión y, sin más, los dejo con mi proceso!

• Paso 1:

For this illustration I started with a basic pose; the character would be in 3/4 view and behind him would be a wave of his magic power. With this idea I began to make the sketches until I gave shape to the character. I used red and blue colors to separate the hair from the body and, once I liked the sketch, I cleaned up the lines. Here I chose to make a line without opacity and made some corrections, since the sketch had some flaws.

Para esta ilustración inicié con una pose básica; el personaje estaría en vista 3/4 y por detrás del mismo estaría una onda de su poder mágico. Con esta idea comencé a realizar los bocetos hasta darle forma al personaje. Usé colores rojo y azul para separar el cabello del cuerpo y, una vez me agrado el boceto, fui limpiando las líneas. Aquí opté por realizar una línea sin opacidad e hice algunas correcciones, ya que el boceto tenía ciertos fallos.

• Paso 2:

After the lines, I set up the color palette, filled the character with gray and started applying the base colors in separate layers.

Luego de las líneas, armé la paleta de color, rellené al personaje de color gris y comencé a aplicar los colores bases en capas separadas.

• Paso 3:

With the help of the lasso and the line brush, I worked on the volume of the character. For the shadows, I first used a dark color to shape them, and with the lasso and brush I corrected and cleaned up the mistakes. Then I adjusted the tone of the shadows to one that matched better with the character and the environment.

Con ayuda del lazo y el pincel de línea, trabajé en el volumen del personaje. Para las sombras, primero utilicé un color oscuro para dar formas a las mismas, y con el lazo y pincel iba corrigiendo y limpiando los errores. Luego ajusté el tono de las sombras por uno que combinara mejor con el personaje y el ambiente.

• Paso 4:

With the same method I added the illuminations, these were only included to highlight the hair, eyes, staff and some important areas. Then to complete the scene, I added some power waves behind the character to give shape to the desired atmosphere.

Con el mismo método fui agregando las iluminaciones, estas solo las incluí para destacar el cabello, ojos, báculo y algunas áreas importantes. Luego para completar la escena, añadí unas ondas de poder por detrás del personaje para dar forma a la ambientación deseada.

To finish, I changed the color of the lineart to make it blend in better, I also worked a bit more on the waves in the background and made some final corrections, like enlarging the eyes and lips a bit more, to make them look more proportionate and expressive.

Para terminar, cambié el color del lineart para que se integrara mejor, también trabajé un poco más en las ondas del fondo y hice algunas correcciones finales, como ampliar un poco más los ojos y los labios, para que se vieran más proporcionados y expresivos.
