Esta película es bien divertida, se trata de un joven llamado Jake (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) que nunca ha compartido una navidad con su familia, desde que murió su madre. Estudia en los Angeles (California). Su padre propone que si llega a la cena de navidad a las 6 :00 p.m le regala su auto un automóvil modelo Porsche 356. Su padre junto a su nueva esposa viven en Nueva York. El joven acepta lo que le propone su padre llega en Nochebuena a las 6:00 p. m para cenar con la familia.
This is a very funny movie about a young man named Jake (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) who has never shared a Christmas with his family since his mother died. He studies in Los Angeles (California). His father proposes that if he arrives at Christmas dinner at 6:00 p.m. he will give him his car, a Porsche 356. His father and his new wife live in New York. The young man accepts his father's proposal and arrives on Christmas Eve at 6:00 p.m. to have dinner with the family.
Todo se le complica a Jake y es secuestrado por unos sujetos, raptándolo y lo dejan abandonado en medio del desierto. Todo esto es producto de una venganza porque no permitió que unos compañeros de clases se copiaran en un examen. Unos de sus compañeros de clases llamado Eddie Taffet (Adam LaVorgna) trata de acercarse a Allie (Jessica Biel) la novia de Jake. Allie había quedado de viajar con jake cree que el la ha abandonado y acepta que Eddie la lleve. Ella no sabe de la desaparición de Jake esta inocente de lo que le ha sucedido.
Everything gets complicated for Jake and he is kidnapped by some guys, who kidnap him and leave him abandoned in the middle of the desert. All this is the product of a revenge because he did not allow some classmates to cheat on a test. One of his classmates named Eddie Taffet (Adam LaVorgna) tries to approach Jake's girlfriend Allie (Jessica Biel). Allie had arranged to travel with Jake, thinks he has abandoned her and agrees to let Eddie take her. She is unaware of Jake's disappearance and is innocent of what has happened to him.
Jake despierta en medio del desierto y se encuentra vestido de Santa Claus atado con adhesivo. Quedándole tres días para poder llegar a su casa. Quiere llegar lo más temprano posible a su casa y logra subirse en el auto de un ladrón. El ladrón llamado Nolan va a exceso de velocidad y es detenido por un policía llamado Max. Jake se le ocurre mentir y dice que van a entregar juguetes a un hospital infantil por eso el esta vestido de Santa Claus y que el delincuente es un actor de cine que hace el papel de Elfo. El policía decide llevarlos al hospital.
Jake wakes up in the middle of the desert and finds himself dressed as Santa Claus tied up with glue. He has three days left to get home. He wants to get home as early as possible and manages to get into a thief's car. The thief named Nolan is speeding and is stopped by a policeman named Max. Jake comes up with a lie and says that they are going to deliver toys to a children's hospital so he is dressed as Santa Claus and that the offender is a movie actor playing the role of Elf. The policeman decides to take them to the hospital.
Al llegar al hospital infantil Max presencia la enseñanza de un niño sobre la importancia de la familia y Max como tiene problemas con su esposa es afectado por lo que el niño exponía. Max le pide a Jake que ayude a recuperar a su esposa Marjorie y este logra que Max vuelva con su esposa. Y en señal de gratitud Max le regala el pasaje en autobús hacia hacía Nueva York. Suceden una serie de acontecimientos donde jake cuando espera el autobús ve a través de la televisión como su novia se besa con Eddie. Jake inventa una mentira para que el conductor lo deje en el pueblo, al final logra llegar al hotel aclara el mal entendido con su novia. Los dos deciden emprender el viaje juntos hacia Nueva York. Donde Allie lo abandona al enterarse que no va a Nueva York por ella sino por el auto que le va a regalar su padre.
Upon arriving at the children's hospital Max witnesses a child teaching him about the importance of family and Max, having problems with his wife, is affected by the child's words. Max asks Jake to help him get his wife Marjorie back and he gets Max back to his wife. And as a sign of gratitude Max gives him a bus ticket to New York. A series of events take place where Jake, while waiting for the bus, sees on TV how his girlfriend kisses Eddie. Jake invents a lie so that the driver leaves him in the town, at the end he manages to arrive at the hotel to clear up the misunderstanding with his girlfriend. The two decide to take the trip together to New York. Allie abandons him when she finds out that he is not going to New York for her but for the car that his father is going to give him.
Eddi y Jake arreglan sus diferencias pero los celos lo matan porque a Jake se quedará con Allie y el auto. Eddi por maldad lo deja en un pueblo participa en un maratón y Jake resulta ser el ganador sale enseguida a comprar un boleto de avión con los mil dólares ganados. Se le presentan una serie de obstáculos los cuales no le permiten viajar en avión por fin logra esconderse en un avión en la parte de la bodega canina y logra llegar a Nueva York , llega un poco tarde después de las seis pero su padre de igual manera le regala el auto pero él no lo acepta, hace las paces con su madrastra la acepta y se reconcilia con su novia Allie.
Eddi and Jake settle their differences but jealousy kills him because Jake will keep Allie and the car. Eddi, out of malice, leaves him in a town, participates in a marathon and Jake turns out to be the winner and immediately goes out to buy a plane ticket with the thousand dollars won. He is presented with a series of obstacles which do not allow him to travel by plane finally manages to hide in a plane in the part of the canine hold and manages to reach New York, arrives a little late after six o'clock but his father gives him the car but he does not accept it, makes peace with his stepmother accepts it and reconciles with his girlfriend Allie.
Esta película es muy buena para compartir con la familia en esta época decembrina, es divertida y muy cómica, me gusto mucho y por eso es una de mis películas preferidas en navidad. Donde se valora la navidad y Jake descubre el verdadero significado de la navidad.
This movie is very good to share with the family this Christmas season, it is fun and very funny, I liked it a lot and that is why it is one of my favorite Christmas movies. Where Christmas is valued and Jake discovers the true meaning of Christmas.
