Social Media Challenge "SPS Journey Continued"

On a previous post, I highlighted that one of my short-term goals was to meet the requirements in regards to SPS allowing me full rewards whilst playing in Champion League. I have remained determined to stick to my commitments and have been working hard. It was stated that 413k SPS would be required to earn the maximum reward share in Champion 1 and I am happy to report that I am over 50% of the way there. Although it is not all staked yet and some have been staked on my alternate and scholar accounts, I have been supporting Diesel Pools aligned with Team Philippines providing liquidity for our Community to assist others to obtain the same goals.

We preach this to our Community, the holding of assets I mean, and as an organization we work towards reducing barriers of entry, to make it possible for those less fortunate. Not a single SPS will be sold from my end that’s for sure, the hardship of accumulating this, even whilst it is at an extremely affordable price, can take longer than people think.

I treat this Bear Market as an opportunity and have invested my available resources, but have also ensured that it does not put me in a vulnerable position. Whilst the short-term goal is to meet requirements, I want to have enough stake to be influential, and in order to do so, it would be 1 Million SPS, and although a long way to go, slowly but surely, I would be able to achieve this with the correct mindset. On average, I am receiving about 60 SPS from the Staked Rewards every day which is not too bad, it is my daily routine to click the claim button, and only once I have claimed by Focus chests (I aim for 10 Champion Chests at a minimum). Brawls are a big help on boosting your SPS especially now that I am receiving Tier 4 Rewards. I also earn passively from my Land as well as my Nightmare Packs. There is also SPS from the Tournaments that I enter to look forward to.

In terms of battles, I try to maintain around 150SPS per day, I have found that playing in WILD format early on in the season, makes this achievable.

These are the Diesel Pools that I am positioned in. The SPL related ones, whilst there are no rewards attached to them unlike before, they secure me another 60 to 70 liquid SPS per day. The benefits to this is not only the fees that it earns from swaps, your Tokens are liquid therefore no downtime from un-staking. People usually would say "impermanent loss", my response to that " each to there own". this is what I do and it serves me well.

This is my daily log from the passive earnings of SPS per day. I track this every season. Through analyzing this information, it assists me on finding the best opportunities for higher earnings. Last season I ended up with 1650SPS from passive rewards, I have increased my LP standing, increased stake and have purchased Nightmare packs which should improve my numbers, however have entered less tournaments after moving into Champion in both formats. This reduced the number of Tournaments that I could enter therefore reduced my earnings significantly from this area. I plan to position myself in Champion 1 in Wild Format and Champion 2 for Modern so that I may have access to more Tournaments next season.

This does not come without sacrifice, I have been known to stream on Facebook and open numerous amounts of Packs, we call it “Talpak”, whilst this is fun, it does not do much for me these days, it is more effective to purchase cards needed on the open market, luck is not involved and even though it does not get the adrenaline pumping, there are other priorities. Each day they stare at me shouting “Buy me”, especially Untamed Packs (I got in when these were selling for 80USD on the Secondary Market), I revert my gaze, keep calm and carry on.

I have seen a lot of people significantly reducing their assets especially this week, it is a shame that this market has had such a negative effect on people and I hope that our eco system does not suffer from it. Perhaps short term, there maybe a flooding of assets and in effect a depreciation, but surely this will be seen by others as an opportunity and will be scooped up quickly.

In summary, this post is not to "blow my own trumpet" but more to show you that there are still people within the Community that have full faith in this project and continue to build whilst others retract. I think the important thing to realize during times like these, although a perfect time to accumulate, it is also very easy to overspend and regret the decision later. I would always say spend what you can afford to lose, whilst it hurts to see asset depreciation, longevity will prevail as previously seen for those that can stick it out.
