Splinterlands | The UMBRAL ELEMENTAL Tank Card is Game Changer

Hello Splinterlands fam!

Welcome to another awesome splinterlands post and I guess all of you are doing well in your lives and enjoying a beautiful Sunday with your loved ones. Now, for those of you who are actively spending time in splinterlands even on this weekend easily proves how much love and dedication you all have towards this web3 project. Not to mention, how the entire splinterlands team is working endlessly to make this gaming project a better environment to bring in players while focusing on collaboration and the onboarding process. Just recently, splinterlands has announced a partnership with another rising web3 game called Dungeon Cities and those who bought gift packs in splinterlands during the Winterfest event will get free rewards in this game. Anyway, now coming back to the game and taking a look at the ongoing ranked season clock, we still have a long time in hand, around 11 days and 5 hours before this ranked season meets its end. So, whatever goals you have set and are working on, whether it is to reach a particular league tier or to battle against the top players for a seat in the champion leaderboard, I hope you accomplish your goal sooner this time.

Moving on, let’s now talk about the frontier mode and those who read my previous posts know how much I love to play this mode. I have been playing frontier mode for a while and gladly, I have upgraded almost all of my foundation cards to their max levels. Right now, I am playing in the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of 3,200. And having another 11 days in hand, this time I am aiming to push my trophy count to 4,000 and though it's a tough job to win against players with all max decks, I will try my best to reach my goal. On the other hand, I am also focusing on gathering as many entries as I can for this upcoming raffle and there’s only 1 day and 5 hours left for it. Till now, I have collected a total of 48 entries and will try to pump this number near 60 and try my luck one more time if I can finally manage to get something from the lottery, though I haven't won anything so far from all the previous raffles that I played.

Umbral Elemental

Now, let’s move forward and come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be talking about another awesome Conclave Arcana monster with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be discussing the Umbral Elemental. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this card, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

The Umbral Elemental is a monster type card that was discovered in splinterlands with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana core edition card set. This monster belongs to the Death element and comes from the elemental bloodline. This monster costs a whopping 9 mana to be used in battles, so ideally, you can use this monster when playing medium to large mana limit matches. By rarity, it is an Epic type card, so you would require a total of 46 CC cards in order to upgrade this card to its max level. The attack type of this monster is magic and apart from a good attack power, a high combo of armour and health with decent speed, this monster also features 4 abilities at its max level, which I will be talking more about later in this post. Let us now take a further look at this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to find out more about this card.

BRONZE

At level 2, this monster card possesses powerful stats, which consist of 2 magic attack power at 2 speed with 4 armour and 7 health. Not only that, but it also gets 2 abilities - first, the Taunt ability that it gets from its initial level and then the Swiftness ability that it gets from this level onwards.

TAUNT - Draws the attacks of enemy units. Does not affect reach, Scattershot, Wingbreak or enemy units in the first position.

SWIFTNESS - +1 speed to all allied units.

SILVER

When you upgrade this monster to level 3, it receives the same stats as its previous level - 2 magic attack power at 2 speed with 4 armour and 7 health. But it does get a new ability at this level called Deflection Shroud, which will provide deflection ability to its adjacent friendly monsters.

DEFLECTION SHROUD - At the start of battle, adjacent units gain deflect.

GOLD

As this monster gets upgraded further to level 5, it gets increased stats of 3 magic attack power at 3 speed with 5 armour and 7 health. Though it does not get any new abilities at this level, its increased firepower, speed and armour will definitely help you in battles.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when this monster gets upgraded to its max level of 6, it gets the same stats as its previous level - 3 magic attack power at 3 speed with 5 armour and 7 health. Apart from that, it also gets another ability called the Void at its max level, which will help this monster to protect itself against magic attacks.

VOID - 50% less damage (rounded up) from magic attacks or 0 damage from magic attacks of 1 power.

Last but not least, as you can clearly see, this monster is fully packed with a beast level stats and useful abilities, which helps you a lot to counter big enemy monster attacks in high mana limit matches. Its large magic attack is its main weapon, but then it comes down to tackling incoming magic attacks; it weakens those attacks with void. On the other hand, it also wears a high level armour + health combo that can protect it from multiple high melee or range attacks. So, this monster is very useful against all 3 types of attacks and thus, an amazing attacking tank card at your service. Thus, I think this monster deserves a place in your collection.
