Splinterlands | Let’s Harvest some Grain from my Land

Hello Splinterlands fam!

Welcome to another splinterlands post and I hope all of you are doing well in life and enjoying a beautiful day with your loved ones. Now, if you also play this amazing game like me and are serious about your progress and growth in the game, then most probably you are focusing all your might and strength in the arena and battling against others right now. Because, looking at the ongoing ranked season’s clock, we only have around 3 days and 18 hours left before this ranked season meets its end. So, whether you are aiming to reach a particular league tier and claim some eye-catching reward chests or to compete against the top OG players in the game for a glorious spot in the champion top leaderboard, you should hurry and reach your destination as early as possible, as there’s not much time left. So, all the best, my fellow warrior, and I hope you reach there soon, but be careful to keep an eye on your battle energy meter as well, because you don't want to get out of energy when it's needed the most, right?

Not only the ranked season, but the time is shortening fast for the frontier season as well, and I know many of you are actively taking part in this new gameplay format as well. Since its launch, this new free-to-play gameplay mode has taken the splinterlands community by storm, and not only the old players, but even new players are joining and enjoying this new mode. The main advantage of frontier mode is that you do not need to own or rent any cards or SPS tokens to start playing this mode. However, as you progress in this mode and start earning foundation cards or packs, you may choose to either upgrade your cards and strengthen your foundation collection or list them for sale and earn money from them.

Now, talking about myself, I have been playing this mode for a while now, and gladly, all my foundation edition archon cards are at level 3 and most of the monster cards as well. Right now, I am playing at the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of 3,560 and having another 3 days in hand, I will just keep playing with a balanced approach and try to win 2 or all 3 daily missions. For playing in the highest league, I am earning 1 foundation pack and 3 frontier raffle entries per mission. Today, I have already completed all 3 missions and successfully earned 3 foundation packs and 9 raffle entries. Not to mention that I have already opened all three foundation packs and have shared the outcome above. Surprisingly, as you can see, the outcome for today’s pack opening turned out really well, as I have received a gold foil epic, a gold foil common, 2 Rares and the rest common cards. So, I am really happy with the outcome and let’s see what more I can get in these last days.

Moving on, allow me to come to the main topic of this post, as today, I am going to talk a little bit about land and my recent activities in this area of splinterlands. Land, for those of you who don't know, is an expansion of the core splinterlands universe and a way to get connected with this project and invest without the need to actively play. In this game, land is a whole new area where you can utilise your unused cards and stake them in your land plots along with DEC and other in-game items like titles, totems to generate passive rewards in the form of in-game resources. When you activate a land plot by staking cards, DEC and other items, it starts generating different types of resources like Grain, Wood, Iron, Stone, Research points, or even SPS and you can either choose them to sell or lock in liquidity pools and earn even more. Depending on the type, location and rarity of a land plot, you can generate these different types and amounts of resources and as you have guessed, the more premium and rare a land plot, the more and better types of resources you will generate.

Now, for me, I only have one Land plot in my collection, which has been in an active state for a long while and generates Grain resource for me. My land name is Hamford and is located in region no 121. It is a common type neutral land plot and I have a 100% working worksite built on it to produce resources and my grain generation rate is 277.2 per hour right now and of course, I have staked the required 50k DEC in my plot to achieve 100% production rate. It takes 7 days for a Land plot to produce 100% resources, and while you can claim before that timeframe, delaying the harvest more than 1 week will lose you some resources. So I always try to harvest and claim my grain whenever I see I am near 100% production.

image.png

Now, recently, when I visited my land, I saw another batch of grain resources is almost ready and sitting at 99% worksite capacity. So, without wasting any more time, I immediately harvest my grain, and at that point, my plot had generated around 52.28k Grain, which is not a bad amount for a common type of land and this happens because I have staked some good rarity gold and legendary cards in my land to boost its productivity.

image.png

As I visited the resource claim page after hitting the harvest button, all the information regarding the claim and fees showed up and as you can see, I had produced a total of 51,282.179 Grain in my plot and in order to claim my harvest, I would have to pay a total grain tax of 5,128.217 and another 23,310.082 Grain fee to feed the workers. So, I clicked on the Pay Grain button and proceeded with the transaction.

Within a moment, the transaction went through successfully and after cutting both the fees, I received a total of 22,844.76 Grain, which added to my grain resource wallet. Let’s now wait for another week before my workout gets full, and I will come for another juicy harvest.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post about Land and my grain harvest. Let me know your thoughts about today's post in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.

Greetings, the information about the land is very interesting. I don't play games much, but I love farming and planting games. Where can I find more information about planting in Splinterlands?
