Hello Splinterlands fam!

Since the release of Conclave Arcana edition cards, Splinterlands is once again trending not only in Hive but in X as well. At this point, there is no doubt to say that this game knows how to stay on the front page and while most of the other web3 gaming projects are struggling to survive, splinterlands is flourishing day by day and reaching new heights. With constant updates and the introduction of new elements in the game, it is able to keep its user base hooked and constantly gives us new topics to keep talking about. Another great example of this would be the campaign mode and the upcoming Yaba’s Pickle card sale event, when the whole community is yet to come out of the Conclave Arcana fever. Yes, for those who don't know yet, just recently the official sale date for the upcoming Yaba’s Pickle card has been announced and mark your calendar on 24th June, because that’s when the Pickle will be available at the official shop to grab as per allocation. So be prepared and if you have any plans to stake up some more SPS to increase your allocation, be sure to do that before June 17th, 11:30 AM ET, when the screenshot will be taken.

Moving on, let me come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be showcasing an amazing and powerful Conclave Arcana card with you all. This one is more powerful and rarer than the normal cards in the CA edition, because it is a limited edition Promo card that is only given out to presale buyers and as you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today we will be talking about Gramel the Hunger. First of all, I was one of the lucky ones who got their hands on this card by buying packs in the presale. As I have shared in my previous posts, I have bought a total of 417 Alchemy packs in the presale and for my contribution, I received a total of 12 BCXs of this awesome card. So, if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

Gramel the Hunger

Gramel the Hunger is a monster card that was introduced in the game with the launch of Conclave Arcana edition cards, but this is a limited edition card and cannot be found in packs. Instead, this card was distributed only to presale packs buyers as a reward and for every 400k DEC or Credits worth of purchase, one BCX of this card was given out. Anyway, by rarity, this card is a legendary type card, so you will need a total of 11 BCX cards to upgrade this monster to max level. This monster belongs to the Neutral element, so you can easily choose this card in your lineup when selecting any element if allowed by the match rules. To use this card in battles, you need to spend a whopping 11 mana, so you can generally use this card when playing medium to high mana limit matches. This monster belongs to the Fiend bloodline. Now, one of the special features of this card is that it comes with all 3 types of attacks combined in it, making it super powerful. At max level, it holds 2 melee + 2 magic + 2 ranged attacks, so whatever monster it is targeting, it will make sure to bring hell upon that poor monster. Apart from that, it also possesses a good combo of health + armour along with a decent speed and not to mention, at max level this card possesses as many as 5 abilities, which I will be talking about later in this post.

Bronze

At its initial level, this monster holds 1 melee + 2 ranged + 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 1 armour and 7 health, along with 2 abilities - Charge and Scattershot. Even at level 1, this monster holds a total of 4 attack power and coupled with scattershot, it can attack up to 3 different enemy monsters in a single turn.

Charge -A Monster with this ability can use melee attacks from any position. So basically, the melee mayhem ruleset is fused into this new ability and now you can place this monster anywhere in your lineup and still, it will be able to charge enemy monsters with its melee attack.

Scattershot - With the help of this ability, magic and ranged attacks will target a random enemy unit. Personally, I am not a fan of this ability because we don't have any control over which monster it will hit, but I admit sometimes this ability works like a charm and helps you to clear out backline monsters while ignoring front defence or even Taunt ability.

Silver

When it reaches level 2, this monster gets the same stats as its previous level - 1 melee + 2 ranged + 1 magic attack power at 3 speed with 1 armour and 7 health. However, it does get a new ability called Relentless Strike, which is a newly added ability that came with the CA edition.

Relentless Strike - Monsters with this ability, upon attacking, deal true damage. +1 damage if the target has void, shield or forcefield.

Gold

When you upgrade this monster to level 3, it gets 2 melee + 2 ranged + 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 1 armour and 7 health and also gets a new ability called Shapeshift, which is another newly introduced ability that came with the CA edition.

Shapeshift - This ability is treated as all bloodlines.

Diamond / Champion

Finally, when this monster gets upgraded to its max level of 4, it receives 2 melee + 2 ranged + 2 magic attack at 3 speed with 1 armour and 7 health and gladly, it receives another ability called Camouflage at its max level.

Camouflage - Monsters containing this ability can not be directly targeted unless in the first position. Does not affect indirect attacks (example - scattershot, blast splash damage or trample) or wingbreak.

As you can clearly see, this monster is a powerhouse that you can use in your lineup for an 11 mana cost and no doubt, it is an awesome choice for high mana limit matches to bring the opponent to their knees. So if you are still not having this card in your collection, what are you waiting for?
