After the massive success and fast sellout of the previous Rebellion card set, all of us Splinterlands lovers have been eagerly waiting for the next edition of cards for a long while. Now, it is finally happening, because in the official announcement, Splinterlands has declared the date for Pre-Sales for Conclave Arcana along with many other exciting things. No doubt that the game is entering an entirely new era with this upcoming card-set release, and about to change the game entirely with fresh, unique mechanics, deep lore, new abilities and card foils, new packs, game-changing strategies and many more.

Now, no matter if you are an old soul in Splinterlands thinking about growing your card collection or just starting your journey and want to enhance your gameplay, I think now is the time to pay attention and plan for the future. There are so many new things that are coming with this new edition of cards and talking about them all in a single post would make it extremely lengthy. So, in this post, let us talk about some entirely new features that we are about to experience with Conclave - brand new abilities and Archons. So if you are interested, let’s take a deep dive without any further ado.

Conclave Arcana

Conclave Arcana is the upcoming card set in Splinterlands and after Rebellion, this is going to be the sixth core set in Splinterlands, designed to expand the splinter universe in an unimaginable way. This new set introduces a total of 82 new cards, which include 24 common cards, 29 rare cards, 14 epic cards and 15 legendary cards. On top of that, there will be nine more special cards coming as airdrops throughout upcoming in-game Conflicts. These include three legendary unit cards and six legendary archon cards, which will be created by players who win this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by topping the pre-sale purchase leaderboard. Now, if you are planning to partake in the pre-sale event, then you stand a chance to get your hands on two exclusive promo cards that will be given out to pre-sale buyers depending upon their total purchase. These promo cards include one rare and one legendary, both of which will be available only during this early access period. So mark your calendar and start preparing!

Conclave Presale - Dates and Details

Starting on April 22 this year and running until May 11, the Conclave Arcana presale will be the first chance for everyone to purchase and own these powerful new cards and gain early access to exclusive bonuses.

During this presale period, players can purchase three different types of booster packs, such as...

  • Standard packs - These are the most accessible, with 500,000 packs available in pre-sale at a cost of 4,000 DEC or Credits for each pack.

  • Alchemist Packs - For those of you who are looking for gold cards, there will be a total of 100,000 Alchemist packs available, with at least 1 guaranteed Gold Foil card in each pack. These packs will be priced at 12,000 DEC or Credits for each pack.

  • Legendary Packs - Specially designed for collectors, whales and high-level warriors, there will be a total of 50,000 Legendary packs and each of them will contain at least 1 guaranteed Legendary card. These will be available for 24,000 DEC or Credits per pack.

Please note that Conclave Starter packs will not be available for sale during this presale window and will be available once the general sale starts after May 11. So, in case you are aiming to build a good collection for modern format or want to expand your card collection with Conclave Arcana, this presale is your lucky opportunity before the full release when the general sale kicks in.

Conclave in Modern

With the upcoming launch of Conclave Arcana, as expected, the Modern Format will be getting a significant upgrade. After the Conclave Arcana General sale starts and packs can be opened, only cards from the Rebellion and Conclave Arcana editions will be included in Modern gameplay, excluding all the Chaos Legion edition cards. This simply means that all Chaos Legion cards, including core cards, Riftwatchers, Promos, and Rewards, will be moving to the Wild format. However, the wild format cards, including Chaos Legion, will still be valuable through other features like brawls, land gameplay, and tournaments.

Bloodlines and Archons

One of the freshest and exciting parts of the upcoming Conclave Arcana set is the introduction of Archons, which are actually the rebranded form of summoners. This rebranding is more than just a name change, as in Splinterlands, the player will be called a Summoner and the summoner cards will be called Archon. Now, each Archon card in this set carries a unique bloodline, which is a new strategic layer that affects and entirely changes how you build your team. For the first time, players will see the bloodline of every character displayed directly on their cards, including all the wild and modern format cards. This is a huge move, opening the door to powerful new combinations, as the upcoming bloodline mechanics will allow you to use monsters across different elements in your lineup based on shared lineage.

Brand-New Abilities

Conclave Arcana is certainly not just adding new cards, it is about to transform how cards function in the game. Nine completely fresh and new abilities are making their debut in the game, each designed to introduce new challenges and strategies into the arena.

  • Painforge - it increases a unit’s power when it is damaged by poison, burning effects or even friendly fire.

  • Reckless - It causes a unit’s successful attacks to deal damage not just to the enemy, but also to adjacent allies, which looks similar to blast.

  • Bloodline Tribute - This new ability will boost all allied units of the same bloodline when a unit is defeated, adding bonus stats to health, speed, armor, and each shared attack type.

  • Resurgence - This ability allows a unit to resurrect once per battle with full health and armor. It also clears all negative magic effects and re-applies the buffs in that unit, while also delivering damage to all units around it.

  • Shapeshift - This ability will make a unit count as belonging to every bloodline, allowing it to fit into any bloodline-based strategy.

  • Final Rest - This ability stops any abilities that would trigger upon defeat, on both sides of the battlefield.

  • Reveal - This ability destroys the Camouflage ability from an enemy unit each round, allowing it to be targeted directly.

  • Relentless Strike - This ability will ensure that attacks deal true damage and cannot be dodged or phased.

  • Bloodline Dominion - This ability allows to summon units across all elements as long as they share the same bloodline with the Archon.

As you can clearly see, these abilities from Conclave will not just add more complexity, they will also add more creative freedom while playing the game. So, no matter you are a new player who wants to fill your deck with new cards or an old collector gamer who loves to see complete and unbeatable decks, Conclave Arcana is bringing something for everyone, so what are you waiting for? Start preparing for the Arcana Presale!
