Splinterlands | CALAMITY is Small but Deadly Magic Thrower

Hello Splinterlands fam!
Welcome to another awesome splinterlands post, guys and I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying an amazing day going with your loved ones. Now, if you are also a splinterlands player just like me and engage with this cool card game regularly to finish your daily tasks, then most probably you are busy right now fighting your opponent in the battle arena. Because if we take a look at the clock of the current ranked season, there are only around 7 days and 18 hours left in hand, before this ranked season meets its end. So, whatever goal you have set in your mind for this ongoing ranked season, whether you are trying to reach a particular league tier and win a few reward chests, or you want to battle against the OG players in the game for a glorious seat at the champion leaderboard, I wish you all the best and hope you reach your designated goals before time. But, don't forget to keep an eye on your battle energy bar as well, and do not overuse it and deplete it near zero, so always keep it in mind.

Moving on, let me now talk about the Frontier mode and for those of you who are probably new to the game and don't know details about this mode yet, this mode is completely free to play and gives you the same level of thrill and adrenaline rush when playing other modes in Splinterlands. Yes, you do not need to invest any money in order to buy cards or coins to be able to start playing this game. Instead, you can try playing this game mode for free, simply by first playing the campaign mode and earning some foundation cards from there and then using those first bunch of cards to kickstart your journey in Frontier mode. Here, you can earn cool foundation cards or packs for completing daily missions and the higher league you are playing, the more or better your reward will be. Now, for me, right now, I am playing at the highest Gold I league tier in frontier mode with a trophy count of 3,380. If I want to secure a place in the frontier leaderboard, I have to walk a long path from here and having around only another week in hand, I don't think it would be an easy task for me. Anyways, apart from foundation cards or packs, you also win raffle entries for the frontier lottery that happens on a weekly basis. For me, I have gathered a total of 33 entries so far for the upcoming one and let’s see if this time my luck shines in the raffle.

Calamity
Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be talking about another awesome Conclave Arcana monster with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be discussing about the Calamity card. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this card, then let’s take a deep dive without any further ado.
The Calamity is a monster type card that was first discovered in the game with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana edition card-set. This monster belongs to the Dragon element and it comes from the Mundane Beast bloodline. This monster card only costs 4 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily fit this card in your battle lineup when playing low to medium mana limit matches, or the ones with the little league ruleset. By rarity, it is a Legendary type card, so you would require a total of 11 CC cards to upgrade it to its max level. Its attack type is magic and apart from a good attack power at a large health and high speed, this monster also features 5 abilities at its max level, which I will talk about later in this post. Let us now take a deeper look at this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to find out more.

BRONZE
At level 1, this monster card possesses a great stat that consists of 3 magic attack power at 4 speed with 9 health. Even at its initial level, this monster’s attack power and other stats are really unmatched. On top of that, it also gets 2 abilities at this level called Shapeshift and Electrified.

SHAPESHIFT - Treated as all bloodlines.

ELECTRIFIED - Deals 1 damage to all allied units at the beginning of round 2 and each following round.
SILVER
As you upgrade this monster to level 2, it receives the same stats as its previous level - 3 magic attack power at 4 speed with 9 health. But it does get a new ability at this level called Life Leech.

LIFE LEECH - increases health and max health by 50% of damage dealt (rounded up).
GOLD
When you upgrade this monster further to level 3, it finally gets a health increment and now shows 3 magic attack power at 4 speed with 10 health. Not only that, but it also gets a new ability at this level called Expose.

EXPOSE - 80% chance to remove Forcefield, Lookout, Deflect, Shield, Void, Void Armour, Cleanse, or Immunity after a successful attack. Expose will always remove Immunity first.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this beast monster to its max level of 4, it possesses the same stats as its previous level 3 magic attack power at 4 speed with 10 health. Gladly, it does get something at its max level - a new ability called Last Stand.

LAST STAND - +50% to all stats and current health (rounded up) if no other allied units remain on the team.
Last but not least, I think it is a very powerful monster that you can use for only 4 mana. However, its Electrified ability is a bit tricky, so if you can create a smart strategy to use it without harming your friendly monsters much, I am sure this monster will bring more wins to you than ever. What do you think?
I hope you enjoyed reading my post about CALAMITY. Let me know your thoughts about today's post in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.

Greetings,
The warriors with 3 magic attack for only 4 mana is seriously impressive, even with the tricky Electrified ability. Have you found any specific summoners or lineups that help minimize the self-damage from Electrified position?
keep winning and saving
