History and the Machine

My latest collection of Tezos NFTs has officially dropped. This 20 item collection is called History and the Machine. Each piece is a figure from history that I painted in oils between 2012 and 2018. Each original painting was then combined with written biographical details of the person and fed into an artificial intelligence engine. The resulting AI adaptations of my oil portraits were then minted as Tezos NFTs on Objkt.

Each NFT description contains a link to the original oil portrait. You can see all of the original portraits here. There are 19 unique still image portraits plus a 10 sec video in the collection. I minted just 7 each of the stills and one of the video. Pricing begins at 9 xtz, though I'll consider all reasonable offers.

Emma Goldman

My favorite portrait in History and the Machine might be Emma Goldman. Don't get me wrong. They're all awesome, and interesting on multiple levels. But the Goldman portrait strikes me as particularly well balanced. The thing I find the most intriguing about it is that the AI added another character to the portrait. Who is this mystery person? I think it's Alexander Berkman, Goldman's life companion. You can read about their escapades on Wikipedia.

Emma Goldman lived from 1869-1940. She was an activist concerned with the rights of women and workers. Her writing informed the development of feminism and anarchist political philosophy.
