Rising Star is a music industry simulation experience running on the HIVE blockchain and I've been hooked for coming up on a year now. Since late last year I've been scratching and clawing my way up from a lowly busker to one of the largest celebrities in the rapidly growing Rising Star ecosystem. All the while I've been hiding a terrible secret...

I am extremely musically disinclined

I've been listening to the same albums since high school in many cases, like terrible noisecore punkrock bs, and couldn't play my way out of a wet paper bag. And to be clear, this is not part of me roleplaying a terrible undead asshole. I live on songs like this:

I've always knows that when I release my first song NFTs on Rising Star they will be some sort of terrible musical terrorism located equal parts between Wesley Willis, Jesse Stewart, and Lil Peep. I honestly shudder at the thought.

So, what is a scumbag like me supposed to do without any real talent to speak of? First I got a job on reality TV.

If you've not yet researched what Starbits Millionaire is in Rising Star, you are slipping. SBM is a daily mission you can complete once you are a high enough level AND you've been able to set aside a cool 1,000,000 Starbits. I imagine it as the beginning of the Rising Star endgame and, honestly, where this game really takes flight. Why is SBM good?

Starbits Millionaire pays itself off in less than 3 months.

That's right. This card and mission it opens up is one of the most ridiculous wealth engines I have ever discovered. Not just in Play2Earn, anywhere. Reaching level 50 and unlocking this mission should be literally every players first End Game Goal. But what comes after that?

Folks, I have hundreds of thousands of Starbits invested in nearly all the NFT records that have been released in Rising Star in the second half off 2021. What does that really mean?

Whenever a NFT record is released it's granted a pool of 100,000 Starbits that investors can earn as it sells. To me this looks a lot like record production gamified. Sure the investment is going on after the record is released but other than that the analogy holds. Once this has happened any player can invest in the record (this is not the same as buying the record) and, as the record sells, they pool will pay out proportionally.

Record Staking is something to do with your Starbits to see them slowly grow. It's better than doing nothing and just letting them sit. To me, it's a great path to follow as someone who recently completed Starbits Millionaire OR is saving their Bits to earn that career. A lot of folks seem to not even know this area exists and, while that's good for me, that means people aren't playing one of the best parts of Rising Star! I view that as a problem and wanted to help, I hope this has been helpful!

Last Rising Star article I wrote I showed a picture of my band and asked what you think we should be called. I offered 500 Starbits to whoever submitted the best name. That's where you let me down folks, every single response was "Count me in!", making it clear that people had not read the article. I'm not calling my band Count Me In!

My band will be named Death Flower Pop and I will continue to be the lovable villian of the Rising Star world. You deserve me.
