Travel around the world 72 Highway Nr. 1 Big Sur Deu\Eng

Hallo liebe Community,
Aber was will man machen bei so vielen Tieren.

Al

Hello dear community,
that was our stay in Monterey. The next morning we continued and another highlight of our trip was coming up. The most beautiful section of Highway No. 1, the Big Sur, a section about 100 miles long with the most beautiful views on a winding coastal road right by the ocean. That was already the hammer what we saw there everything. The Bixby Bridge which probably everyone has seen in a movie, McWay Cove, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, Point Lobos and many, many more viewpoints.
Really cool was the Julia Pfeiffer State Park with the famous waterfall. It's just too bad you can't climb down there, because access is only from the ocean, if at all.
On the way we also met a number of oldtimers driving down the Big Sur. That must also be great in such an old convertible here slowly along to cruise.
It was also really cool when we got to the elephant seal beach. These are the biggest "seals" there are here and on the beach hundreds of them lay in the sun and relaxed. Unbelievable that these on land sluggish and clumsy colossi suddenly become majestic and nimble in the water. Only the stench was not everyone's cup of tea. But what can you do with so many animals.
A great day that flew by. But the memory of the many great sights will remain with us for a long time.

Many greetings and see you soon
Al

I know that area well. Been on Hwy 1 I don't know how many times. Stop by the mirror maze in Monterey, good times, or the pier in Santa Cruz.

Casa De Fruta in Hollister is an interesting stop if you're still in the area.

Nice. I'm only a channel away from you right now.

Is weed legal there? I mean, not legal like California legal where it's just a plant but legal like medicinal or CBD at least?

Its not legal yet. Just for medicine I think. But I think the government will chance this in the next 3 years.
