Battling Since October 2021

Almost bought the spellbook in 2020 and have regretted not diving in sooner. I have played trading card games before such as Yu-gi-oh and Magic the Gathering, but Splinterlands seemed to have what they were missing. The blockchain really does make trading and renting quite simple. I have an MTGO account for those that don't know, that's Magic the Gathering Online and that has been a black hole as far investments go. When I played paper magic the game was somewhat of an investment, cards went up and down and I kept possession. That meant also trying to keep cards in good condition, but I liked to manhandle my cards. The NFT market with trading card games seems like a no brainer and being able to play this sort of game has all the appeal the other's lacked. My NFT's stay in prestine conditon and I do not have to worry about how I play with them. I am still an early player but have already found comfort in a game that has a strong community and that understands the player base. The game can be pretty complex if you have not experienced mana based games before and also the crypto factor can be intimidating. That is what stopped me from joining the first time, not knowing anything about crypto but I have learned enough to navigate the game and it took some trial and error. The road to greatness is a long one.
