3 Months ago now I bought my first Splinterlands Card

Roughly 3 months ago I purchased my spellbook and shortly after my first card. At the time I would say prices were not at the quite peak but they were HIGH compared to now. I made a sizable purchase a 100 dollar card with 1000 collection power. Looking back now it wasn't the most effective and efficient use of funds to rise the ranks. Today that card has dropped by about 15%, not too bad considering some of the other price drops I've seen since playing. We must be aware there are people who are maximizing the business side of this game and must not get to emotional when making our purchases. I know I am victim of making impulse buys just cause I have some time and want to play some powerful cards. The key is to be patient with purchases. A lot of value can be obtained with patience. The bid system is a tool I think is under utilized by many and I am just now starting to make the most of its function with my purchases. Cards along with crypto and NFT's are volatile and that means we can leave a low bet and have a good chance of it hitting while we are asleep or busy taking care of our day. When I first started looking at how to spend some money I quickly came across the fact that SPS would be needed to earn vouchers and get early packs of chaos legion. I wanted SPS bad but it was not so simple and at the time the price was roughly about 70 cents. I wasn't able to obtain any SPS for a while and that turned out to be rather convenient as the price dropped to what we know today to be about 17 cents. We are starting to see some resistance around the 17-18 cent level and that does excite me because I do believe in the game's future. The people maximizing the business side count on people being on the fence about their investment and although I do perceive this game as a solid investment I look at it more as a game I enjoy and want to be battling with the best. To do that does mean I need to maximize my assets so now that the price has come down quite a bit since joining the game this seems like the most decent time further my collection power. Land is something that has fascinated me and seeing the price rise to as high as about 900 dollars and now about half that definitely has me thinking how low a common plot will be valued at after the full implementation. A tract just sold for about 40 thousand dollars and thats about 400 a plot. That makes me think we might never see a land plot sell for less than 400 dollars again..I get most excited about this game because even though I have not been here from the start, I would still say I am here early. If I could of played MTG or Yu-gi-oh and had any financial knowledge in the first 3 years of the game I would of had quite the valuable collection but the fact that it has to do with blockchain makes it better for me. Blockchain's future seems imminent but like a tough battle, either way I'll be here for the ride. None of this is financial advice and just my thoughts to myself proclaimed to all. Happy Battling.
