Excellent and blessed day for all this beautiful hive community and for Splinterlands game lovers, today I bring you the post about the weekly challenge that gives us this wonderful game, I want to share with you a very exciting and entertaining battle, for this challenge we have a very interesting card, let's see what it is and how it influences this battle, let's go to battle!
About the challenge letter
For this challenge we have the card Angelic Mandarin belonging to the sliver of water, this monster is a frog dressed in a red and blue suit that covers almost his entire body, around his body is covered with a kind of very striking yellow light, this design has pleased me quite Angelic looks like a very wise frog and his striking suit makes him look elegant, it is a combination of elegance and wisdom.
On the other hand, talking about his stats I must admit that I was surprised by his high health points because he has 6 health points, besides that he has 2 speed points and a ranged attack point, although it is true that he has no skills I think his stats can be very well used in the battlefield, he is a resistant card so he can last a lot in battle and do constant damage to the opponent with his ranged attack.
Rules for the battle
For this battle we have 25 mana points to spend, it is a good number of mana to be able to create good plays and combinations.
The standard rules of the game have no modifications, which means that all types of splinters and cards can be used in the battle.
Analyzing my opponent
My rival uses the sliver of life, this sliver is very powerful and his monsters have good combinations, observing my rival I realize this because his monsters are very powerful and have very good stats, I know that the battle will be long and difficult but not impossible, My rival has very good skills and attack points but lacks health points, the monsters in their last ranks have few health points, however they have a tank that supports them very well, the enemy tank is one of the strongest I've seen in the game and I know that a key point in the battle is to finish him as soon as possible.
Defensively I am better than my opponent, however he has a better attack than mine, I know that the battle will not be easy and that my opponent is very powerful but this does not prevent me from creating a good strategy to win.
Battle formation and statistics of my monsters
In this battle I am using water splinter, let's see what is my formation and what are the stats of my monsters:
Summoner: in eta battle I have used the summoner Kelya Frendull, this great summoner gives my monsters a point of speed and a point of armor, I have used Kelya in other opportunities and I must say that it combines very well with the water splinter, that extra point of armor that it grants can be fundamental in the battle.
First position: as a tank I have decided to use Diemonshark, this powerful monster when it kills its target performs another attack against the next enemy monster, statistically it has 6 points of armor, 7 points of life, 4 points of speed and 2 points of melee attack.
Second position: for this position we have Scavo Hireling, this monster has the ability to restore part of the armor of the allied monster whose armor has received more damage, statistically it has 1 point of life and two points of speed.
Third position: here we find the monster Merdaali Guardian, this monster restores a portion of the health of the allied monster located in the first position each round, statistically it has 3 points of life and two points of speed.
Fourth position: for this position we find the challenge card Angelic Mandarin, as I mentioned earlier this monster has no skills but has good stats, has 6 health points, 2 points of speed and one point of ranged attack, I think this position is very good for Angelic in this battle to make the most of his stats.
Fifth position: in this penultimate position we find Cruel Sethropod, this monster has no skills but it is very resistant because it has 3 armor points and 4 health points, besides that it has a speed point and a melee attack point.
Sixth position: in this position we find Hardy Stonefish, this monster has no skills, statistically it has 1 point of armor, one point of life, one point of speed and one point of melee attack.
My winning strategy
According to the analysis made to my rival I know that the battle was long and therefore I know that I must resist for a long time the enemy attacks, so I set a defensive strategy for my monsters to last longer in the battle and thus be able to withstand all the rounds weakening my opponent continuously.
My strategy was based on taking advantage of the abilities of Scavo and Merdaali so that my tank can resist as much as possible in the battle, Merdaali will be in charge of increasing his health each round and Scavo will increase the armor of the allied monster whose armor has received more damage which usually should be that of my tank, In this way I have made my tank more powerful defensively, besides that I have decided to place Angelic in the fourth position because an enemy monster has the ability to attack the last position, this way Angelic will be safer in the fourth position and will be able to arrive with good health for the last rounds.
Battle execution
The battle begins and everything is very even, my strategy works but my opponent is also very powerful, in round 3 my opponent manages to take advantage and at this point I had already killed two of my monsters, Merdaali does his job very well and my tank manages to resist many attacks, just in round 6 I managed to kill the first enemy monster, it is a tough battle, but I do not lose hope and I do not give up.
For round 7 my opponent and I were left with 3 monsters each, the battle was equal again, but then my opponent manages to knock down my tank and on the battlefield I only have Merdaali and Angelic, these two monsters manage to combine very well, Angelic arrived to this round with good health and Merdaali to be in first position heals himself every round which allows him to resist the enemy attacks until the end of the battle while Angelic does constant damage to the enemy with his ranged attack, the battle extends until round 15 where Angelic finally gives the last blow to give me the victory of a long and difficult battle.
Did the strategy work?
Indeed the strategy worked, thanks to Merdaali's ability my tank resisted a lot of enemy attacks for 7 rounds, after that Merdaali and Angelic took the reins of the battle so placing Angelic in fourth position was fundamental, he managed to reach the end of the battle with good life points which allowed him to resist until the last moment.
How did the challenge card influence the battle?
Angelic played a fundamental role in the battle, he was in charge of doing constant damage to the opponent, his high life points allowed him to reach the end to give the last blow and give me the victory, I must say that in this battle I have used this card to the maximum and I am totally satisfied with his performance in the battle, showing that placing it in a good strategic position can become even the most fundamental card in the battlefield.
