The Tale of 3 Legends (Battle Mage Secrets: Noxious Fumes)

The battlefield was full of poisonous clouds and no warlord wanted to risk dive into suicidal mission and losing precious units. But, war must be won against the tyrant and become glorious in battle.

Daunting Camila chose to ally with Life faction and called on Agor, Carnage, and Soul Fiend to enter into the battlefield. 3 Legendary monsters rose their heads and marched toward the cursed battlefield.

Their survival depended on the large amount of health and powerful attacks, the tale of 3 legends will be written in golden words.

Noxious Fumes

This ruleset fills the battlefield with poisonous clouds, all monsters are poisoned and take 2 poison damage every round.

If you use a formidable monster with Heal chances of survival increases or you can even use a Cleanse monster to remove Poison from the first monster.

Additional Ruleset: Scattershot

Battles with Scattershot ruleset allow all ranged and magic units to fire randomly at any target. This is a very complex ruleset and sometimes favors the player having high magic damage.

BATTLE LINEUP

This battle is played with 3 legendary units and 1 rare monster, 2 are from Dragon faction and 2 are from Life faction.

STRATEGY

This is a 30 mana battle and I had to select monsters who can hit more damage and possess a handsome amount of health.

This is simple strategy of might and survival, have a high health and hit extra damage while taking less damage from enemy attacks. Using dual attack and double strike monsters having formidable armor can be a way to clean the enemy lineup in a few round and keeping alive in the combat.

Summoner with -1 melee damage may help in reducing melee damage of enemy units if he is using some melee monsters.

Summoner and Monsters in Action

Camila Sungazer is a Dragon summoner and she can reduce enemy's melee damage by 1 point. She requires 3 mana and can summon dragon units along with units from any other faction.

Soul Fiend is a legendary unit, his part is quite short and it was intended to use him as sacrificial lamb to consume 1 hit that Agor should not and this he would save Agor's Armor for 1 more hit.

Agro Longtail become a tank once Soul Fiend leaves the battlefield, he a best fit for this battle due to his magic and melee attacks and Flying ability. Due to his 11 health points, it is possible he can survive around 4 rounds even taking 2 poison damage each round. His magic attack will ignore armor and 3 melee attack will shred enemy unit's armor easily. In case of melee or ranged attack he might evade some attack due to his Flying ability.

Carnage Titan possesses a high armor and 8 health points, he is a helper of Agor to remove any armor from enemy units from behind using his Reach ability while slashing with his claws attacking twice every round.

Silvershield Bard sits on 4th position, she is a bait for Sneak monsters and might remove poison from first friendly unit in the lineup.

BATTLE COMMENTARY

Battle starts with roars and screeches as poisonous fumes makes it difficult to breath.

Possibilus the Wise uses his telepathic powers and creates an aura of powers to his units giving them Reach and Trample abilities along with increase health points. Venari Wavesmith also adds +2 armor to enemy units and makes them tough enough to consume good amount of melee and ranged damage.

Camila Sungazer's power of reducing melee damage has no effect on enemy units, but she is a great commander and knows how to win complex battles.

Round 1
Enemy ranged and magic units laced with scattershot ability badly damage armor of Agor Longtail, although Bard survives.

"A legend dies and a legend is born." these are the final words of Soul Fiend as he is downed by Hardy Stonefish.

"I'll sing an elegy for you my sweet fiend, you die as a lenged." says Silvershield bard with a gloomy face and laments on a legend's death.

Round 2
Noxious fumes reeks havoc on those who have very low health, Hardy Stonefish and Silvershield Bard are the first victims of poisonous clouds.

Agor Longtail exhales fire on Chaos Agent making him into smoldering ash and then shouts "Nerissa, you are next, get ready to die."

Round 3
"I might not survive, but I'll rip you Nerissa, and lead my army to victory." says Carnage Titan in a rumbling voice which echoes in the battlefield.

Titan pierces his left claw into Nerissa's belly and them holds her head with his right claw, then he cracks her head and rips off her body, a lifeless and unrecognizable corpse of her lays on the battlefield to rot.

Round 4
More deaths are witnessed as poison reaches the lungs of weak units. Venari Wavesmith and Merdaali Guardian fall to the ground as they cannot bear the poison damage.

Carnage Titan dies as a legend as he removed Nerissa from the battlefield, he is praised by his fellow ally Agor "Worry not my friend, we'll revive you and you'll fight many more battles."

Agor gufaws and mocks at Agelic Mandarin "I wonder how do you survive the poison, little froggy." and takes a long breath "but not anymore, haha, I'll stomp you and declare this battle a victory."

Little Mandarin already fears the dragon, 1000 times bigger than his size, he would have no chance of doing anything but to witness his death by a legend.

Agor Longtail breathes fire as a sign of victory and Camila thanks him for aiding her on this mission and putting a victory on her name.

This is the tale of 3 legends, but 1 lives on.

STRATEGY OUTCOME ANALYSIS

This battle proves that using monsters with dual-attack or double strikes can lead a player to win even in a very intense battle. Having high health plus good damage makes it possible to remain on the battlefield for more round despite taking 2 poison damage every round.

The Scattershot ruleset created a little problem in the beginning but Agor's void armor stopped the magic damage hitting his health, but this was not the case with Carnage Titan yet he delivered some heavy blows to knock down some enemy units.

I should have put Agor in the first position to avoid any unnecessary poison damage as he could have been cleansed by Silvershield bard, but I risked this because of Scattershot ruleset because you don't know where would enemy blows land.

Overall, it was a successful strategy and I won the battle based on the theory of high health and high damage.
