BEAT THE BRONZE WITH THESE LOW RENT CARDS UNDER 50 DEC A SEASON IN SPLINTERLANDS

avatar

Being a new player it seems quite tough to even break the novice league and potentially earn any rewards from Starter cards in the Splinterlands game. It seems hard in the beginning, but if you play it with a plan then it is just a matter of time to tame the game to earn everlasting rewards.

Plan - Phase 1 (Build Your Collection Power)

When you've bought a Summoner's Spell Book, consider it as a key to El Dorado, just kidding, Splinterlands reward system. Now, try to buy some cheap cards and build your Collection Power (CP) up to 5000 or a bit over, this will allow you to reach Bronze-I league in both Modern and Wild Battle formats. As the Modern requires 2500+ CP and the Wild requires 5000+ CP for Bronze-I league.

There is a good probability of finding a good deal in PeakMonsters.com, for example, I found one that seems quite reasonable.

You may build 5000+ CP under $7 or a few cents up or down depending on the market price feed. If you find a starter card under $0.05 try to buy them, as you'll need some of them in the ranked battles.

It's up to you what market you like the most, although Splinterlands' in-game market has also very competitive prices.

Plan - Phase 2 (Get Out of the Novice)

Start with the Wild battle format, you'll not find much of a competition here, so just play with your starter cards and drag yourself to Bronze-III with little effort. It is to be noted that you'll not receive a negative rating for losing Novice battles, so play like a spoiled child and never regret it.

My recommendation for the Wild format is because of you can use all editions of cards in that format.

Plan - Phase 3 (Ranked Battles)

You are now in Bronze-III and playing with starter cards will not bring you any rewards, so you need to decide either to spend some money on cards or use a rental service to get yourself rented some cards for the ranked battles.

Patience my friend, 50 DEC means $0.05 per season, spend fewer yields big. Yes, it is recommended to grab some cards from the rental markets and earn big rewards from daily and season chests.

Now, I'll show you these cheap deal cards to easily break the Bronze league, and in the end, I'll add some battle links to give you an idea of how to use them in the ranked battles for a win.

1) Daria Dragonscale

This is a Dragon summoner and will grant all melee monsters +1 Attack in the battle. The card has 0.31 DEC rent per day, so at this price, you'll spend less than 5 DEC for a whole season. You can select any type of Splinter element to use both Dragon and selected element units for the battle.

2) Djinn Chwala

An epic Dragon card with Thorns ability, good against melee units in low mana cost battles. The buying price of this card is around $0.10, better to have it.

3) Venari Crystalsmith

A rare tank healer with a low-ranged attack. It will cost you around 1.5 DEC for an entire season. Good card for healing tanks such as Chwala and Shieldbearer.

4) Divine Healer

A common Life unit which has a very cheap rental price. A good card to use in double-heal strategy battles. I use it with Venari Crystalsmith to heal Shieldbearer in the battles.

5) Armorsmith

A low mana cost common unit of Life Splinter that repairs the armor of friendly units. It will cost you around 1.5 DEC for a whole season, a good card to use with Shieldbearer and with some healers.

6) Sea Monster

This common Water unit heals itself each round and possesses very heavy melee damage. Quite cheap to rent out just for 1.5 DEC per season.

7) Crustacean King

Another cheap card from the Water faction, it heals the tank in the frontline and also has the armor for protection. The rental costs 1.5 DEC for a season and can be used to support Sea Monster in intense damage battles.

8) Dhampir Infiltrator

It is a rare reward card, but it has 2 devastating abilities that can change the time of the battle. If used properly with Daria Dragonscale, this card can ruin the opponent's backline. 1.5 DEC for an entire season or just own it for under $0.03 price.

9) Crystal Wolf

It is a rare Life unit, but it has the ability to reduce the magic attack of enemy units, this unit has a melee attack as well. Low mana cost monster just for 1.5 DEC for the whole season.

10) Uraeus

This is an Epic neutral card and can be combined with any Splinter faction in the battle. A nice melee card with armor and Sneak attack ability. It is a good card to be used against Fire units to destroy the opponent's backline. It will cost you around 2.1 DEC for an entire season.

Battle Strategy with Some of the Above Cards

The battle I show you below are from Bronze-I league with or without rulesets. Regardless of the rulesets, I use almost similar strategies from Bronze-III to Bronze-I

1) Life vs. Earth

I used Shieldbearer to receive all the damage from the enemy, but I supported it with Venari Crystalsmith, Armorsmith, Divine Healer, and Scavo Hireling. This is a very popular strategy for high mana cost battles, try it and you'll see the results for yourself.

Click here to watch this battle in the Splinterlands portal.

2) Dragon vs. Dragon
This strategy involves Djinn Chwala and Dhampir Infiltrator.

The credit goes to Dhampir Infiltrator for doing double damage to enemy units. Click here and see how Dhampir's double strike attack helped me win the battle.

3) Death vs. Dragon

In this battle, I mixed the Dragon unit with water units, there is an Earthquake ruleset for this battle, so both teams had a disadvantage of getting 2 damage per round to all non-flying units.

Daria gave a +1 attack to melee units, that's why Chwala killed Windeku even after taking huge damage. Sea Monster took the earthquake damage but healed himself in the next round. The strategy was solid and worked like a charm. Click here to learn more about this battle technique.

4) Fire vs. Fire

In this battle, Uraeus is the game changer, because of the armor he survived the first attack and gave another round to Tenyii to kill the opponent's Tenyii and Serpentine Spy. Click here to understand this strategy and apply it in your battles.

Remarks

The cards I have shown you above for rentals are currently costing me under 18 DEC, which means less than $0.02 for a season and I had covered this cost within 2 to 3 days of the season.

Prices of rentals keep changing according to the demand, so having 50 DEC with you is like having a Plan B for rental if the prices soar and the renter pulls the card away after 2 days.

I use combination starter and rented cards, I lose some Rshares because of that but I manage to cover my losses by doing extra battles.

That's all for now, I'll keep posting new strategies as I find them. So keep visiting my profile for more updates.
