Hello there Axie pips!

I overslept yesterday and almost missed playing the game. People told me that owning Axies is a commitment and I guess they were right. It didn't sink me that time but I guess I'm realizing it now. SLP is still going down which I know saddens most of us guys. I'm still holding mine for more than a month now. Before the Katana pump I was torn if I'd stock up at least 10k SLP and exchange it shortly later after the big updates like the land gameplay and battle v2 come out. But I guess I made the right choice selling around 5.5k SLP during that spike period. Now I have close to 7k and still piling slowly day by day. The prices are likely to go even further down because there is still that issue with burn-mint ratio. For months we've been minting 3x-5x times more than we burn. Hopefully, we get some good news before the year ends. An just to let you know even with these prices we would likely get our ROI before the year ends! Just let it fell beyond 0.04 before the end of the year and we're good.

Anyway, we got another interesting match up for you guys today. It's up against a Triple Antenna x Cute Bunny Team. Antenna is pretty overpowered in my opinion. Even with stricter requirements for the energy steal to take effect it's very worth it, especially if you have three of them in your team. Aside from the energy steal the damage is just ridiculous. Triple Antenna teams is already annoying but them also having Triple Cute Bunny doubles that irritation. This kind of team is very good at burning your energy and wasting your cards. The fear effect serves like discard if done right. I want to ramble more about enemies like this but we would likely make this post very long. Without further ado, let's take a look at this match.

Shielding Up Against An Annoying Team

We're up against a Plant-Bug-Dusk team. All axies got the combo of Antenna for their horn card and Cute Bunny for their mouth. They also got good counter cards like Hot Butt for our Serious and Anesthetic Bait for the Ill-omened. Their backline got alot of sustain for cards and energy in the later stages with that Bone sail and Nimo.

Bunny Madness

They went all in in round 1. It looked like they didn't want us to steal energy from them with Serious so they went for double Cute Bunny and defended with a Pumpkin. They were not taking chances which is undestandable. We on the other hand played a Carrot + Cactus combo. I think it was not a very optimal move for them since the Pumpkin would cancel one stack of fear so only the damage from Carrot was neglected. That's also the reason why I played Carrot first. If they played only double Bunny instead then we just wasted 2 cards and energy. Although our plant took some damage it was still a satisfactory exchange from our POV in this round.

From 0 to 3 Energy?

In rounds 2 and 3 it was evident that they wanted to take our tank early but we managed to draw Pumpkin so it was tough for them with that limited energy. They were yet to do the Antenna chain but we knew it would likely come later on. It came in round 4. They played energy gainers with a combo of Nimo + Antenna from their back chained with another Antenna from the mid. One Antenna managed to pierce through our mid. The damage was not that much. We had the option to defend but that would likely cost energy and we knew it would be difficult if they managed to steal alot so we just passed on defending the mid.

Not this time

We took down their tank in round 5 and manage to burn down a significant number of cards and energy from them. With 386 shield it was difficult for them to penetrate through this thick wall of a mid. Of course, it's a different story for Soothing Song and Stuns but it's enough for direct confrontations like this one. They got no energy to burn in round 7 because we used it all up. We got no choice but to play 2 cards in round 8. We did an Axie Kiss + Teal Shell combo. Axie Kiss should be first because we would get stunned if they played Anesthetic bait if we attack with teal Shell first. That Crit form Teal Shell was very significant in this battle.

Kiss X Death

We made a wrong move in round 9. We attacked with three cards but we could just did it with a single Nimo. That was so wasteful! In round 10 we still defended because we knew that we'd likely survive the first round of Bloodmoon Curse and their attack even in red health. Behold the shield! We were waiting for Axie Kiss but in the next round we were still given defensive cards. We have the option to just pass and settle it with our backline but we still defended. We want that Axie Kiss! Nothing's gonna stop us for activating crit. Haha. We barely survive round 11 with 7 health but guess what we drew 2 Axie Kiss. We played both of them chained with two tiny Dino just to be sure. It crits! They were on last stand but it was obviously our win. That was nicely done for our mid. The energy steals and the fears were annoying but our heavy shielding saved the day.

And that's all for today!
thank you very much for visiting,
See you soon.

Ciao~
