Social Media Challenge | When every monster is able to attack! π

Overview
Today I brought a Brawl battle, where I got one of my favorite ruleset using melee attack monsters wherever I want, so without any restriction it will be much easier to assemble a good team. The only thing I need to be aware that my opponent might use a similar strategy, so I need to be prepared against that. π
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

| Ruleset | Description |
|---|---|
| Melee Mayhem | Units can use melee attacks from any position. |
| Rise of the Commons | You can summon only rare and common units. |
| Heavy Hitters | All units have the Knock Out ability. |
The mana cap for my next battle was 51, which is a very good amount to build a solid lineup. The Rise of the Commons ruleset also helps a lot, because it will eliminate all the Epic and Legendary monsters and they tend to cost a bit more mana than a regular Common or Rare monster. π
The Melee Mayhem is an amazing ruleset, because it will allow all the melee attack monster to be able to attack from any position and they will always attack the first monster from the enemy team. It is very good to use high damage and weaker stats monsters in the middle of my lineup. π
The Heavy Hitters ruleset will give the Knock Out ability to all the monsters on the battlefield and what it means is when a monster attacks a Stunned monster it will deal double damage against it. This is really good, but it will require a monster with the Stun ability in order to take advantage of this. π

My lineup
![]() | Kelya Frendul is an excellent Water Summoner, because he is cheap and he will increase the speed and armor of his monsters. Even one piece of armor is enough to block a full melee or ranged attack, which is why I picked him. π |
| The Giant Alpine Skink is a very good tank with +2 melee attack, because he has the Shield ability, which means that he will always halves all the incoming melee and ranged attacks, which will help him to sustain much more damage. Sadly it doesn't work against the magic attacks, but it will be a high chance that my opponent would also pick more melee monsters, because of the Melee Mayhem ruleset. π | ![]() |
![]() | Commander Slade became a very strong and resilient as a tank, because he has quite a lot of melee attack and also very high speed and the Dodge ability, which will allow him to get +25% chance to dodge more incoming melee and ranged attacks. On top of that he has a lot of armor and health, which will help him to sustain quite a lot of damage. He cost 10 mana, which is crazy expensive, but the mana cap was good to be able to bring him as my tank. He also has the Enfeeble ability, which means that he will reduce his target melee attack by one with each of his succesfull attack. π |
| The Relenor Cleaver is a very important monster in my lineup, because apart from his stats, which is pretty strong already he is a Gladiator monster and such he has the Bloodlust ability, which means that he is able to increase all of his stats by one permanently whenever he kills his target! He is a monster with the Reach ability, so he will be able to attack from my second position and that is why he cost nine mana, which is quite a lot, but worth it. π | ![]() |
![]() | The Coastal Sentry is expensive, because she cost 10 mana as well just like my Slade. She has +3 melee attack damage, which wouldn't be so high on its own, but she also has the Double Strike ability, which means that she will be able to attack twice in every round. Luckily the Melee Mayhem ruleset help her a lot, because it will allow her to attack from the second position, so she will be my main damage dealer. πͺ |
| The Disintegrator is a must have in this battle, because most of the monsters will be a melee attacker, which is perfect for my Disintegrator who has the Demoralize ability, which means that he will decrease the melee attack of the enemy monsters by one and until he is alive, so I needed to hide him deep into my lineup. π€ | ![]() |
![]() | The Cruel Sethropod is a cheap melee attacker who has +2 melee attack. Thanks to the Melee Mayhem ruleset he will be able to attack from the last position as well, so no need to worry about him useless there. π |

The Battle

My opponent brought Pembrook Nymph who is a Water Summoner and her ability is to increase the health of all of her friendly monsters by one. She also able to bring one additional Gladiator monster if my opponent want to bring two for this battle. π
In the first round, bot of our monsters started attacking our tanks and it was really good that my tank had the Shield ability, which allowed him to take only half damage from all of the enemy melee and ranged attacks. π
Both of our tanks were pretty strong, so none of the monsters died in the first round.
The second round started good, because my Sentry used her Double Strike and killed their Slade, who was a huge block for my team, but right after that I also lost my tank as well...
Still in this round my team managed (which was not a big task) to kill their Venari Marksrat whomm used his Martyr ability to increase the stats of their Sentry who will be their next tank.
I used Slade as my off-tank, which was way more resilient than their Sentry who is usually a damage dealer, so we quickly killed her in the third round. π
In the fourth round my team quickly killed their new tank who was Relenor and this round justified why I have picked Kelya for this battle. The reason was to get the speed buff from Kelya, so my monsters were quicker than the enemy monsters.
I also lost my Slade in this round, but I still had plenty fire and manpower in my lineup. Their was only two monster left in the enemy team and one of them was ranger, so it wa very easy to finish and win this battle for me. π

Battle Result

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to try to use massive melee attackers in my lineup, with two or three tankish monster, so this way I will be able to protect my Sentry who was my main damage dealer with her Double Strike ability. π
I also tried to weaken the enemy monsters in case my opponent would decide a similar tactic (which happened), so I brought the Disintegrator for my team, who has the Demoralize ability, which will remove one melee attack from all of the enemy melee attack monsters. π
